*Meg is at the bar, on her morning coffee break, her sword stuck absently in her tutu.

She looks really quite cheerful about it.*

*The sword, alas, does not peer back. It is not anyone's dead brother.

Then . . . it and Anthy's have something in common.

"Good morning, Meg." She gives Meg a cheerful smile. "How are you?"

*Meg considers this.* Good. Actually, really good. *She grins.* Still confused, though.

"Confused?" She tilts her head inquiringly.

Well -

*Meg looks a trifle sheepish.* As my ex-fiancee, I guess you should know - I'm sort of married. Er. Only technically, though.

Anthy looks confused, too.

"Did you win another kind of duel?"

*Meg shakes her head ruefully.* I was just in very much the wrong place, at very much the wrong time.

"The altar?" Anthy guesses.

On his way to his table, Boone almost sticks himself on the sword hanging out of Meg's tutu.

"Whoa!" he says, quickly jumping to the side to avoid the unpleasantness of a sharp piece of metal stuck in his leg.

*Meg blinks, and then looks sheepish, pulling her sword quickly to the side.*

Er - sorry about that. You okay?

"It was a close call, but crisis averted. You should be more careful where you point your sword," he says with a smile.

*Meg grins back.* Sorry - I generally have it put away, but this is just my coffee break, so I didn't think - well, you know. You should probably learn to watch out for sharp pointy things around here in general, though.

*Meg giggles.* Oh, around here it's a common thing - well, I mean, as far as I know I am the only ballerina here, but I often have a sword, so.

His eyebrow raises. "Is there a reason you carry around a sword?"

Well, I've been practicing with it, *Meg says, with reasonable reasonableness.* And you can't really do that without a sword, right?

A zombie drinking suicidally strong coffee glances over at the tutu with a smile - then recognises the ballerina wearing it.

"Er... Meg, isn't it?"

[balletrat]

*Meg looks up from her not quite as strong coffee, and waves back, cheerfully.* Hey! You're Shelley, right?

The walking undead nods cheerfully. "That's me. I've heard a lot about you." Beat. "Mostly to do with frilly items of doooom," she grins.

People blacken my reputation, *Meg says sadly.* Really I'm quite harmless, mostly. Unless you, you know, deliberately just set out to get yourself tutued.

"Tutued? Is that a technical term?" Shelley asks innocently.

"How do you define deliberately, though? Maybe there was a breakdown of communication, and people didn't realise they were headed down the path of frilly retribution." She beams.

Why yes, she has had rather a lot of that coffee.

It is now, *Meg says, happily, and then giggles.* Come on - making bets with a ballerina, that's just asking for it. Really. And some of the bets were really really stupid, too.

"Making stupid bets, as well as just making bets where wearing a tutu is one of the conditions? Wow. I think some of these people must secretly want to have one. It's tutu envy!" She grins at the memory of Mouse in his.

[balletrat]

Definitely, *Meg says firmly.* Subconsciously, everyone wants into my tutu.
