Hagrid is in the gardens, wand in hand, coaxing his sprouting pumpkin seedlings to grow into mature plants, one by one.
He saw a sign before coming out about circuses, and wonders what it is. Maybe he'll stick around to find out...

There's no use in mentioning that Rats remind him of one of the biggest traitors in the wizarding world. It's kind of insulting to rats.
