"I still can't believe," Xander shook his clear-skinned head, as he and Ron raced in from the wedding/funeral outside, "what she did to him. I mean, I know they were both evil, but Jesus...it's just like being back at Sunnydale High."

"Yeah, well, good riddance," Ron answered. "Let's just hope something even worse comes along and eats the other one." He paused. "We should eat cake. Weddings are s'posed to have cake."

"We should," Xander answered.

Therefore, a Ron and a Xander were at a table, eating cake. Xander still had no visible skin. They were both only clad in giant socks that covered their whole bodies, with holes for arms and legs.

They really would rather not talk about why, but feel free to ask.

Ron shrugged. "They needed bridesmaids?" he stuffed more cake into his mouth, with a sound that was almost like "Robblerobble."

"Don't ask questions," Xander groans. "It only leads to pain and expensive therapy."

I have a friend who'll give me therapy for free, *Meg says, dismissively, and eyes Ron.* Are you sure that cake is safe?

"It's not from the wedding. We got it from the bar," Ron said. "If it were from the wedding, I'd be saving it and suggesting we use it as a weapon of sticky destruction against Death Eaters once I got back. 'cause it'd have toe be harmful, knowing the evil puppets. Puppet."

Xander groans.

"That goddamn puppet ate my sock ... she ate my sock, guys!"

You can, *Meg points out,* get other socks. It's not hard. I mean, she ate half my stomach lining, I recovered fine.

Ron winced sympathetically. "You tried to eat the puppet? Are you completely mental."

Xander shakes his head sadly. "Who's that friend who'll give you free therapy? You should ring him up."

I didn't do it deliberately! *Meg protests.* She ended up in my coffee and I accidentally swallowed her.

"How d'you accidentally swallow a whole puppet. Of evil," Ron asked.

Xander just shakes his head and rolls his eyes. Oh, and he eats some cake, too.

Anthy joins them, sans singing third breast, and smiles cheerfully. "You all look so sad! What's wrong?"

It was in my coffee and I didn't see it! *Meg repeats, and then blinks at Anthy.* Well, you know, we did just witness a cannibalistic evil wedding ritual -

"I still say good riddance," Ron said stubbornly, eating more cake. "I waf glad when the edil fock got eagen."

"Socko," Xander says with excessive patience, "was not evil. He was a sock."

He waves feebly at Anthy. "Hey, you."

Anthy's smile wavers. And brightens determinedly. "Hello, Xander." She gazes around at the three of them. "Should I bring you all some tea?"

No, thanks, I've got coffee, *Meg says, and clutches her cup with the clutch of a three-year-old to her Special Blanket.*

And socks can be evil. Have you ever smelled an old pair?

"Aside from that, the puppet was in love it. That makes it
evil," Ron said matter-of-factly.

Xander puts his hands over his ears and glares at everyone except Anthy.

"No thanks on the tea," he says. "If I want leaves, I'll eat 'em raw like a real man."

Anthy stares at him, wide-eyed.

So! *Meg says, brightly.* Change of subject? Yes? Sound good? I hear my husband's sane again, which means I'll hopefully be getting divorced soon -

"That Peter bloke?" Ron asked, without even the raise of an eyebrow. "What is this divorce thing, anyway? I've heard of it, but it doesn't happen much in the wizarding world."

"Did Del cave?" Xander wants to know, though he casts a worried glance at Anthy.

Anthy's cheer is dying a slow and agonizing death, thanks to both the slight to tea and her total lack of anything to do now that her offer's been refused.

Forlorn, she listens.

*Meg shakes her head.* Not yet, but at least now he wants her to cave - and we don't have divorce much in my time, either, Ron, but it happens sometimes. Er, basically it's just saying a marriage is over, you can marry other people if you like. Not that I plan on marrying other people, mind.
