"No. It just needed saying." She figured it out quite a long time ago, when she was still a semi-normal girl in Perivale.

Anyway.

You look beat. Get you something to eat?

She laughs shortly at that.
"You sure know how to sweet-talk a gal. I suppose if I ask for curry I'll be taken out and shot?"

Only somewhat.

We do make a mean vegetable korma.

"Sounds good, as long as it doesn't turn me into anything unnatural." She's been here long enough to start hearing the Anthy stories. They're not comforting.

*A laugh*

No, no worries.

*He goes to the kitchen and returns with a lovely, creamy vegetable korma with jasmine rice and samosas.*

Ace blinks at the meal.
"I think I might love you. Don't tell Tim, he'll be crushed."

*And there's a basket of naan.*

Well, I never did get to kiss the bride...

"I dunno, don't wanna get in trouble with Tonks. It'd be a bad way to finally meet her." She eyes the naan longingly. It's been entirely too long since she had good honest Indian food.

Fuck me in the ear, you're kidding.

"... with naan at stake? Never." She nibbles on a samosa, since it's closer. Oh, heaven.

We came to your wedding together.

"Well yeah, I've seen her. Maybe said hi once or twice in passing. I've never actually met her. There's a difference, you know." Ace rolls her eyes at him. Men. And she's down one samosa. How sad.

*He rolls his eyes back at her.*

Well, Christ, we're just down the hall. Stop by some weekend.

Congrats Bernard, you've officially stunned the mad British pyro. On to Disneyland next?

*He cocks an eyebrow, bemused*

I say something wrong?

Ace, who always has seen herself as something of an outsider, even now, is thrown for a loop with Bernard's casual offer. So she goes for flippant. It's the logical thing to do.
"Does Tonks know you're inviting women she doesn't know to your rooms? Shaaaame."

Oh, she encourages it! *A saucy grin* She likes that sort of thing.

Oooh, that grin looks like a challenge.
"Should I bring Tim along? Wouldn't be proper without at least four."

Oh, why not bring the whole Security crew? The more, the merrier.

Ace looks thoughtful.
"I always did wonder what Cuthbert could do with his gun."

*Bernard cracks up.*

Score one for Perivale! Ace beams and snags the basket of naan in triumph.
