Asar-Suti sits near the fireplace, with a pint of Guiness - it's late enough for that. Guppy has fed the trilobites today, and the purple god now simply plays with a bit of mithril wire, bending it into all sorts of animal shapes, using a violet spark that runs up and down the wire, bending it.

He hopes the time for a break for the kitchen staff is going to be soon.

"Hi, Sooty," Gil wanders across with a tray filled with his usual break stuff - coffee and pastries to share with Sooty - plus a large ball of blue wool and a crochet hook.

He sits down, pours the coffee and passes Sooty his cup.

"What? asks Gil, sipping his coffee and reaching for a pastry. He nibbles it getting crumbs on his lips and making appreciative humming noises over its mapley pecaness.

"S'a blanket," Gil says and takes another large bite of pastry through which he says, "or will be when it's done," rather crumbily.

"It's for baby Joshua," Gil says. "I never gave Richard and Armand a present for him. And this might come in quite handy."

He glances towards the bundle of wool and raises his eyebrows innocently. It might be noted that the 'blanket' while of very very fine soft wool guaranteed not to hurt delicate feathers has something of a 'net' quality about it.

"I knew how once," Gil says. "I'm learning again now. I don't want to use anything magic for that baby because he has all kinds of his own and they might not mix. It's harder work by hand but less chancy."

"Well by the time I 've finished fiddling with it, it will be pretty stressed," Gil says, "so you could magic it clean and fragrant and then it could be from both of us."

"If you like," Gil says cooperatively. "Though it's easy enough to add a dissipating effect to a spell so it disappears a very short while after applying it. That way the blanket would still be clean and sweet smelling but without the residual magical flux.
