Mouse has been in his room rehearsing. Not that he'd admit it.

~~He's sitting at a table and looking for a certain undead lady, but he'll talk to anybody.~~

He found the lady. And he didn't even need the rehearsing. Now he's sitting at a table looking pleased with himself.

A certain undead lady is in a secluded booth, staring at her table.

Meditating really does stop outbreaks of intense fury very well.

Mouse spots Shelley and heads over, sitting across from her.

"Hey, Shel."

She looks up, almost jumping at the sudden voice, but then relaxes slightly on seeing who is is.

"Hello, Mouse."

Mouse does not notice her twitchyness, because he is extra twitchy today.

"So, um. What's new?"

It's a whole booth full of twitchyness.

"Still undead. Scary moodswings. Don't want to talk about it. You?"

"Um. Not much. There's, uh, a party coming up. With karaoke." Staying on script is hard when you don't know the other person's lines.

She nods, glad he doesn't pursue it.

"Yes, I heard about that - Meg is running it, isn't she? I, um. The costumes may be my fault. Sorry."

"No, they're, um. Good?" The next part comes out slightly faster than normal. "I heard people have to bring like a date." Pause. "Of a different, uh, life status?"

"Oh yes," she agrees, remembering. "That was the original idea, I think, for the dead and alive and other to mix a bit more. That reminds me, actually - If I am here on the day, would you come with me? If you don't mind, that is."

Mouse cannot believe his luck.

"Yes! I mean. Yes. That'd be cool. I don't mind. Um. At all."

She half smiles at him.

"Thank you. Karaoke pirates - it should be fun!"

Mouse is doing that thing where he grins like an idiot.

"Yeah. Awesome." Even though Mouse generally likes to mock karaoke instead of sing.

Ah, but this is evil karaoke. He may not get a choice.

She returns to her table-gazing. Idly, "So, is everyone all right since I was last here? Everything seems okay, but..."

"Everything is great," Mouse says ~~dreamily~~.

What a fascinating tabletop it must be.

"Oh, good. That is good. No more Joker?" No, the very thought of Joker does not make her furious. Calm. Breathing slowly.

"Haven't seen him," Mouse says. Of course, that doesn't mean he's not around.

"Good thing. I suppose it would be too much to ask for for him to leave, but."

She sighs. "Anyway. Costumes. I think Meg might send me back to the grave if we do not dress up."

"Right. Meg said, um."

Sexy pirate garb!

"...Eyepatches for guys."

Sexy pirate garb is very similar to what Shelley wore when she first started the undead thing. Just more tattered.

"Yes, an eyepatch is a start. And maybe a bandana. Or a hat! With a skull on it! I think you should have a cutlass as well." She pauses. "I would like a cutlass too. Matching cutlasses."

She digs a piece of paper out and starts to make a list. Because that's what she does.

She is so organized!!

"Matching cutlasses sound good." He would probably agree to anything.

She nods, still writing.

"What else do pirates have? Um. Twirly coats, and pistols... and earrings." She glances up. "No, you don't have pierced ears. That's a pity, but I expect we could ask Bar for a magic one.."

~~The mun refuses to let Mouse pierce his ears.~~

"Maybe just one earring."

"I shall ask Bar if you can one that does not need piercing. That takes a while to heal up, anyways. Um... Did girl pirates always have skirts, do you know?"

"Skirts. Yeah. I'm pretty sure they wore short skirts."

Mouse has no idea what girl pirates wore.

"Skirt," she repeats, writing that down. "Makes sense, long skirts would be no good on rigging. Um... I think they were probably with the bodices... great, again. Gold coin earrings not a problem for me... and cutlass."

Mmm, bodices.

"Cool. Sounds like it'll be a fun party." He's beaming. Such a good day!

Mouse, if only you knew.

"Yes, I hope so. Is it going to be outside or in here, do you know?"

"No idea. I'll ask Meg or Lilly or somebody." And possibly beam at them a little.

"That's a good idea," she says absently.

"Luckily, I seem to show up roughly every milli-day now, so I can be there. I do wish there was a permanent way in, though. It would make life easier."

Mouse almost says that she could just stay here forever, but doesn't.

"I don't ... really know how that works. Sorry." 'Cause, dead. For good.

She shakes her head and smiles slightly at him. She tries to not angst, look!

"S'okay. It seems to be working for now." She pauses.

"You know, I bet I could draw a fake scar on to make you look piratey!" Whee topic change.

He beams. "Very cool. I'd like that."

She nods, and makes a note.

"If you have an eyepatch, I could make it come down as though that's what caused you to need it..."

She demonstrates her meaning on her own cheek with a finger. "Like that."
