Somewhere around page 347 of his textbook, Ray realizes that he's got to go do something upstairs right now. He closes the book and hastily scribbles a note on a piece of torn paper:
Bernard-
I seem to have gotten a lot of responses from people interested in playing Australian Indoor Rules Quidditch, which basically amounts to running around in a room in the dark throwing flashing rubber balls at one another and yelling a lot. Any chance I could get the loan of an appropriately sized room for this sometime soon? I'll be happy to explain the rules and/or demonstrate the game to you beforehand if you like.

This is folded up, tucked into an envelope, and brought to the Bar. "Could you give this to Bernard for me the next time you see him?" he asks, dropping it on the flat surface. When it disappears, he smiles. "Thanks."
Then it's upstairs for Ray, quick like a bunny.
