Nathan is down stairs, dressed in nice khakis and a sweater. He seems to be waiting for someone. That someone, if you're wondering, is Jaina. This isn't a date though. Nope. Nope nope.

"Ready?"
And he hands her a small daisy.

"Yeah. It'll be great to see more of Earth than just an island." She takes the flower, looking at it curiously. "Thank you."
no subject
"Nathan? Is that you honey?" A pretty blonde woman, his mother, walks into the foyer. "Oh...a lady friend." And she smiles brightly, seeming almost too happy to be seeing this. "Hi. Deb Scott, and you are?"
no subject
"I'm Jaina Solo. It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Scott."
no subject
"Dad, this is Jaina." Nathan doesn't even look the slightest bit happy about this whole conversation. "And we're going out to dinner tonight so I'm going to call somewhere and use the ever honored Scott name to get us in. Anything else you'd like, dad?" The last word is almost filled with hatred.

She nods in the direction of Mr. Scott, using all the skills she picked up from years of diplomatic gatherings due to her mother's job. "It's nice to meet you too, Mr. Scott."

And neither parent would stop them either. Jaina may or may not think that's odd. He takes her hand as they head upstairs, to a very large room in the very large house. He plops down on the bed, grabbing a phonebook out of his drawer. "So let's find you something fancy and good."
no subject
She looks at the book. "Wouldn't it just be easier to find a datachip rather than that book?"

"Maybe you should pick?"
no subject
"Maybe I should take you to a french restaurant...but we might have to get you a dress."

There is blushing.

He takes her hand again. "Let's go."

Shrugging, she stands up from chair. "Lead the way."

He keeps hold of her hand, mostly so his parents won't ask questions. And his dad calls out to him but he just ignores it, grabbing his eyes on the way out the door. He hits the unlock button as they head into a large garage more than a few cars. The lights on a silver porsche flash and he opens the passenger side door for her. "My lady."

"It's on the ground," she states, as if confused by that. "Doesn't it have repulsorlifts?"

He gets in the car himself and turns on the engine. It's a pretty sounding engine...at least to him.

"It sounds nice," she adds in, referring to the Porsche.
