(no subject)

Marrow sits at the bar, focusing on a something in her left hand. In her right hand is a knife. She is slowly cutting into the object she is holding. It is a piece of bone actually, not that one could tell that now. If one is observant they might see the slowly knitting hole in her left shoulder where the bone was pulled from though.

She has been working on the bone for about an hour now, her eyes hurt because of doing so, she does not stop though. The blank whiteness has began to resemble a figure of a woman. She moves steadily as if she has done this many times before, which she has.

Her mood? Calm, working on art has that affect on her. Come bother her, even though she wouldn't say so herself, her eyes need the break.

"Good evening, Marrow. How are things?"

She smiles. "I am well, thank you. May I ask what you are doing?"

She examines it and smiles and nods. "It looks good. Is it anyone in particular?"

She sits down with a smile. "What is the story about?"

"Had your friend had something happen to her beauty?"

"I agree with your friend. Beauty is such a small thing to judge a person by."

"Yes, please."

She settles in to listen. "Would you like something to drink? Talespinning is often thirsty work."

She listens and thinks. "She could have been more nice to the King of Crickets." Her tone is mild and thoughtful.

"Do you show your carvings to your friend? What does she think of them?"

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_lady_death/ 2005-05-24 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
Her gaze drops to the carving. "You must love her very much." Spoken without thought.

((G'night!))
