"The lir are just like that; they speak to their warriors in their minds as well, and they speak to each other. Who knows, Cynric's lion might be able to speak to your Companion," Ginevra speculates.

"Can you shape-shift to horse-shape, too? Theoretically, Cheysuli warriors can take lir-shape, but Cynric hasn't done that yet, thank the gods - he is a handful as it is, and I am sure he's be even more so in lion-shape."
