Sawyer's outside catching his breath after going for a run around the lake. He picks his shirt up off the ground, wipes his face with it, and tosses it back down while he contemplates going for a swim.

If he looks over by a tree, there's a Jedi doing some lightsaber practicing against a remote. He could stop and say hi. Well, he might want to yell it from a safe distance so he doesn't get zapped by a stun bolt.

The whistle causes Jaina to lose her concentration momentarily, allowing a stray bolt to graze her shoulder. She curses at the sting and reaches out with the Force to shut off the remote. Deactivating her lightsaber, she turns around to yell at whoever was responsible for the noise.

"I'd like to see you do better," she says, yanking the training remote off the floor and into her hand as she walks towards him.

She laughs. "I think it would be."

A small pause as she studies him. "Speaking of the Force, why'd you act like that towards Jag last night? I told you to be nice."

"You're nice to me. Claire even said you were worried about my recent stint with the dark side." A quick shake of the head; that's something she doesn't want to discuss right now. "Point is, you didn't have to treat him like that."

"He does not!" A pause. "He's just serious. It's a result of the way he was raised."

"Not his parents. From what I've heard, Baron Fel and Syal are decent people. He grew up among a group of aliens known as the Chiss. Childhood is virtually non-existant in their society."

Asar-Suti, hanging about in the garden not far from where Sawyer is throwing down his shirt, grins very brightly at what he sees, making sure that he looks appreciative.

The worry about Claire is over; now, Sawyer season is on again.

"Very nice," Asar-Suti calls over, presented with Sawyer's back. He appreciates the curve of the spine and the muscles over the shoulder blade, and hopes Sawyer can feel his look.

"You know I'm just teasing you, don't you?" Asar-Suti says, coming closer.

"Still, there's no law against window shopping. You clearly take good care of yoourself."

[identity profile] asar-suti.livejournal.com 2005-06-01 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Asar-Suti's eyes still rake Sawyer's body, but in a purely playful way.

"Oh yes, I did," he says. "Guppy taught me another card game that two people can play, the same evening. And I still have to give the cards back to you!"

He holds out his hand, into which the playing cards come flying from whatever direction, and offers them to Sawyer.

[identity profile] asar-suti.livejournal.com 2005-06-01 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yes? Why do I need to do that? It's completely harmless."

There's a purple glitter in his grin, though.

"Somethings with eights; you have to give he same suit or number, and if you've got an eight, you can say what suit you want to see next," he explains the game Guppy taught him.

[identity profile] asar-suti.livejournal.com 2005-06-01 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"Ooooh - would she bap me on the nose for looking at what is hers?" Asar-Suti grins. "She's a lucky girl, in any case."
