She comes in from outside and goes up to the bar-- at which point a broom-shaped package wrapped in brown paper appears, addressed to her. Susan Delgado looks very startled, and then beams.
Shortly afterwards, she's curled up in her usual spot, with hot chocolate. The broom is leaning against the end of the couch where she can see it clearly-- and she is still smiling, say true.
[Susan meets Ben Hawkins, for great language confusion and then further confusion at finding out that he's a messiah, of sorts; talks with Lysistrata about oceans, weather, and Caspian; accepts Roger's apology, discusses AIDS, and suggests he see Simon; and then talks with Rent!Angel again about the Phantom situation and his friend's trouble, for unexpected pain, as the friend is Val... "You miss home a lot, then? Being able to ride your own horses and be free in hgeneral?" It is Strata's turn to be wistful.

"I miss-- but my world has moved on, lady-sai, and so have I, do'ee ken?"

"Are you Bound here?" she asks as gently as she can, knowing she's on shaky emotional ground.

"And I'd not move on to --"
(the peace of the clearing)
"--the clearing at the end of the path just yet."

"And it's said also that ka has neither heart nor mind."

"That makes sense. We have the three Fates, who measure our time upon this earth, and we have no control over it. In the end even the Gods have little control over it. Indeed, for even a Goddess of my own time has been stranded here at Milliways. She is mighty, but she is now less great in my mind than she once was."
