She comes in from outside and goes up to the bar-- at which point a broom-shaped package wrapped in brown paper appears, addressed to her. Susan Delgado looks very startled, and then beams.

Shortly afterwards, she's curled up in her usual spot, with hot chocolate. The broom is leaning against the end of the couch where she can see it clearly-- and she is still smiling, say true.

[Susan meets Ben Hawkins, for great language confusion and then further confusion at finding out that he's a messiah, of sorts; talks with Lysistrata about oceans, weather, and Caspian; accepts Roger's apology, discusses AIDS, and suggests he see Simon; and then talks with Rent!Angel again about the Phantom situation and his friend's trouble, for unexpected pain, as the friend is Val... (slowtimed)]

Susan nods. "It's -- aye, that's Simon, I wot."

And oh, the hope in his eyes is clear, and she finds herself hoping as well, for his sake.

"Simon," he repeats under his breath, to commit it to memory. "Okay. Yeah. What's he look like?"

"He's tall enough, with dark hair, and-- and fine manners, do'ee ken?"

"Do'ee know sai Wash, or Mal, or River?"

He shakes his head. "No. Never met any of them." And, dryly, "I think I'd remember names like that."

"If I see sai Simon before ye do, I'll tell him to look for ye and why, if ye like," Susan offers.

"Don't say why," he tells her quickly, on reflex, then recants a little. "I mean, not...not the specifics. I wanted to talk to him about getting bloodwork done anyway, but...."

A breath, and he rubs the back of his neck again. "Saying that I want to see him is fine. Faith offered to introduce us, but having somebody else looking for him could be good.

"Thanks."

She blinks, a little startled, but says, "As ye'd have it, sai."

"And ye're-- ye're welcome, say true."

He offers a slight smile and looks down, one thumb idly rifling the pages of his notebook.

"I should go," he says, and makes a small gesture with the book. "There's a lot of music I need to work on. I'm sorry again for scaring you, Susan -- I'll see you around."

"Go yer course in peace, sai Davis," she tells him... and then, finally, Susan smiles a little.

"And -- it's all right."
