Venus is out by the lake killing fallen logs and tree branches.

"Crescent Beam!"

That log has been defeated in the name of Venus!

She huffs. "...just not the same..."

*There is a white cat nearby, watching her, if she wanted to try and defeat it.*

Venus blinks. "...Artemis? Did you finally use that Rogaine for men? Here pretty pretty guardian cat?"

*The cat blinks back, its unnaturally green eyes shining in the shadows.*

"Not my pretty pretty guardian cat? Damn." She blows hair out of her eyes. "Guess that would be to good to be true. Here kitty, kitty. Want a scritch scratch?"

*The cat... blinks again, then pads hesitantly towards her. It wraps around Venus' ankle and purrs. Its pristine white fur is very soft.*

Scratch scratch behind the ears. "Hi guy. ...thanks. I miss my white cat. He's one of my best friends. Don't suppose it would be too much to ask that you be a talking magical cat too, huh?" Scratch scratch pet. "...I guess so. Nice cat."

*The cat purrs into her hand, deftly manipulating the scritching until it's just behind its left ear. The purring loudens greatly.*

Sorry, too much to ask.

"...!!!" She keeps scratching. "Should have known. Are you, like, a really forgetful cat that only remembers important details after things happen or just, you know, a talking cat?"

*still purring* Neither, though I am not sure where the assumption that I would be a 'really forgetful cat that only remembers important details after things happen' came from.

"The other talking cat I know only remembers things like 'oh, yeah, that moon princess I want has been right under my nose the whoooooole time' or '...okay, so there were senshi for each planet' and stuff that makes no sense to you what so ever, but were very important events that could have been helped by a cat with a better long term memory. Long term memories are the best things ever, next only to sake and manga and sex."

*The cat.... just blinks.*

Do you actually know how little that made sense to me?

"None what so ever?" She gives a happy sigh and scratch scratch scratches.

Got it in one.

*He purrs into the scratching.*

"No one ever does. It is my fate. Forever shall my genius be in the shadow of my gibbering." Pet pet pet. "Petting is very calming."

It is theraputic for all parties involved, really.

*The cat rubs up against her, purring.*

"still impressive" A deep baritone voice from behind her.

She smiles brightly. "Thank you! Sailor Venus. Pleased to meet you!" She bows politely.

"...are you the One Armed Man?"

"no, more closely to the one handed man." He is missing his right hand, but the rest of the arm is there. "I am Mace Windu."

"Funny name. Do you, like, tame the winds, the sky, always?"

"no. it is a common name from where I came from." He almost smiles. "you do not seem like what I know as a 'sailor'..."

"Sailor soldier. Entirely different things. Short skirts make killing things easier. Um. Somehow."

"how, exactly?" He tilts head. "That is a skirt?" Raises a brow.

"It distracts them with ecchi thoughts of my vaginia?" She gives her not!skirt a tug.

"if you adversaries let themselves be carried away so easily, they indeed, deserve to lose..." That is as close to a smile he gets.

She giggles. "I like to think it's because we are so powerful and mighty. So, what are you? A salesman?"

"a Jedi." Now, he has to chuckle a bit. "a peacekeeper, and diplomat, Master in the Jedi Order."
