Jaina's sitting at a booth, tinkering with her datapad out of boredom. There's a neglected bowl of soup on the table nearby. Every now and then, she looks up to see if there's anyone in the bar she knows. A distraction would be welcomed.

Seth's just finished dinner, and is getting up from his bar stool when he spots Jaina across the room. Smiling, he practically skips over, in a much better mood then the last time they'd met. "Hey! What're you playing with?"

"My datapad," Jaina answers without looking up. When she finally does, a smile appears on her face. "Hey Seth." She pauses, looking at him curiously. "How are you?"

"I'm doing a little better. Had some time to process the whole 'can't go home stuck in an alternate universe were my entire world is blown out of proption' thing," Seth said, returning her smile. "Can I sit?"

"Of course." She gestures to the seat across from her, placing her multitool down on the table. "Glad to hear you're doing better."

Seth takes a seat across from Jaina, leaning his elbows on the table. "Thanks. But how have you been?"

She shrugs. "Honestly? Trying hard to fight the boredom. It hasn't been too successful."

"I know what you mean. Things are so dull here. Well, most of the time," Seth said, nodding in agreement.

"I think I've rewritten my reports for General Antilles fifty times by now." Jaina lets out a small sigh. "Downtime's never exactly been my favorite thing."

Seth taps his fingers on the tabletop, again nodding in agreement. "Yeah, things are never this boring in Newport. I can say that much."

"What's life like there?"

"In Newport? It's...complicated there. People think my life is easy, because I'm a rich kid living in a rich town, but it's not. My parents had problems, my mom is in rehab, my best friends brother just got shot by his girlfriend. It's...hard."

"People always have the tendency to make assumptions that aren't true about rich kids. Most of the time, it's never true." Jaina frowns. "Sounds rough."

Seth shrugged a little. "It's rough, but it's...life. Things happen, no matter who you are or where you live."

She nods, reaching for the cold soup on the table. "I know. The child thinks she's invincible but the adult knows better. Life makes sure of that."
