He fishes something from the tank that you can't see, probably, from a few steps away, and puts it into a fish bowl standing beside the tank.

Do ask him whether he's lost his mind.

Asar-Suti turns around, looks at the tall dark man, senses something of magic or suchlike about him, and just goes back to what he was doing.

"Gotcha!" he says, after a while, and shales a particular recalcitrant trilobite baby out of the net.

"Hello," Asar-Suti says, absentmindedly, after catching the next trilobite baby.

"greetings. what kind of animal are those?"

"Trilobites," Asar-Suti says. "They lived on some planets a very long time ago. They have crystal eyes!"

He's quite enthusiastic about his wee beasties.

He gets up, still a bit stiffly, and moves over, curious.

"The larger animals are the adult trilobites," Asar-Suti explains. "Apart from the squid, which is a Curious Squid from the Discworld, where my friend Eska comes form."

"It is a world that is flat, on the back of four huge elephants, which are on the back of a ginormous turtle in turn," Asar-Suti says, with a shrug. "Weirdness abounds in most of the multiverse."

"that is an understatement... a turtle and elephants supporting a flat world?" He is just surprised.

"Exactly. It's utterly magical, of course; they have magic for what other people have electricity and technology and that sort of stuff for, so it all works out," Asar-Suti explains.
