Angua is siting at the beer, nrusing a pint of beer. She's bored mostly, as there doens't appear to be much to do in a bar all day.

She'd love a distraction from the boredom.

Ah, here be a distraction.

Shelley contemplating a worryingly green drink, a little way along the bar.

On smelling Shelley, Angua turns and smiles to her, frowning at the drink.

"Uh, Shelley, what's that?"

Shelley continues to stare at it.

"I am not entirely sure. I have been experimenting - the other day I got a purple one. I think this one might be more alcoholic."

The syrupy-looking liquid greens ominously.

Angua allows herself a sniff.

"It's fairly alcoholic," she says. "Although I wouldn't recommend drinking too much of it."

Shelley glances up at the sniffing, before looking back.

"Well, I did specify 'containing alcohol'. But I have a hardly any tolerance any more. So, I can't really drink much."

"I don't think it can cause any lasting damage..." Angua offers weakly.

Shelley shrugs, and takes a sip.

A minor coughing fit ensues.

Angua winces.

"That bad, is it?"

[shelley_winters]

Shelley laughs through minor choking.

"...Oh... Oh dear. Okay, that's strange. Like cough medicine, only bitterer. And with alcohol."

She gives the small glass a rueful look, but finishes it.

Angua eyes the glass skeptically as Shelley finishes it.

"Well, enough alcohol and anything's drinkable, I suppose."

Shelley nods.

"Well, apart from pure alcohol. That'll kill you," she says cheerfully. "How are you doing?"

"Not me," Angua says, smiling.

"I'm OK, thanks. Work's been quiet. I've taken a couple of days of to stay here until tomorrow, though.

"How are you?"

Shelley appears to cheerfully consider this for a while.

"These help!" she says, holding up the emptly glass, after a while.

Angua looks at the drink and looks at Shelley.

"Gods, Shelley, how many have you had?"

[shelley_winters]

Shelley bites her lip, although there is an amused sparkle in her eyes.

"That one was my third. I-I am stopping, though!"

"Stop now?" Angua asks, as if asking for a favour.

[shelley_winters]

Shelley looks at the bar.

"I should. Things are fuzzy. But it is fun... Oh, all right. Only because you asked."

[someonesdog]

"Thank you," Angua says firmly. "you don't want to have a hangover tomorrow, trust me."

[shelley_winters]

Shelley winces.

"Was trying not to dwell on that..."

[someonesdog]

Angua cringes.

"Sorry, just trying to give practical advice."

[shelley_winters]

"S'okay. I know you were."

Shelley idly traces patterns on the bar surface.

"Actually, I meant to say sorry to you. For not believing you."

[someonesdog]

"Not believing me?" Angua frowns in comfusion.

"Oh? You found out more about him, then?"

[shelley_winters]

Shelley sighs.

"A lot more. Elan Morin Tedronai, his real name is, apparently. And he was - is - completely, insanely evil."

Shelley waves a hand helplessly. "Nobody knew!"

Some poeple had an idea.

"Who told you this?"

[guppy_sandhu]

Somewhere along the bar, Mitzi the miniature flamingo is tying Guppy's shoelaces together. That might be worth watching.
