Faith comes in from outdoors, looking quietly pleased, and acquires dinner and coffee, then curls up in front of the fireplace.

Tomorrow, there will be blood and violence and possibly all manner of woe. Tonight...tonight was good.

Faith reaches out and grabs the pyro, stabilizing her.

"Sorry." And she really is. "But if you're avoiding me, this seemed the only way to, y'know, not have you run off on me."

Ace eyes her with much confusion.
"M'not avoiding you. Just haven't seen you." She replies as she re-establishes her grip on the rafter.

"Oh, good. In that case, I'm very sorry I scared you...how're you feeling?"

She shrugs, slightly.
"Got all my memories back, if that's what you mean. Sorry for jumping that first night, I was pretty strung-out."

Look at her be all avoid-y. It's cute.

"Yeah, that's mostly what I meant, and it's OK. I can see how this place would do that to you if people were claiming to know you and you didn't remember them."

"That, and not being able to get out, and people claiming I'm married to a man who's mere presence makes my head want to explode. It wasn't a good night." She elaborates.

"You didn't like Tim?"

Faith isn't laughing. Really.

"Tim scared the living daylights out of me. Klarion's spell got... tangled, I guess, with one of Tim's, and they didn't get on well. All I knew is there was he was some bloke who terrified me and made my head ache just by being around." She explains quietly.

"Ah."

Beat.

"But...now...things are OK?"

She is truly horrid at lying. She knows this.

"As alright as things ever get around here." It's not quite a lie, is it?

"...I meant between you and Tim."

"S'fine." She replies, accidentally using a Milliways code word. She didn't mean it. Really.

Faith's eyebrows fly up.

"...fine as in really fine? Or fine as in 'I fell thirty feet and shattered my lower everything, but don't worry about me?'"

"S'fine." Ace repeats, for clarification. Or. You know. Not. She's determinedly staring at the fire.

"Uh-huh. Pull the other one, it has bells."

She's quiet for a while.

"Tim's worried about Tonks." It's a partial explanation, anyway. Might be why she still looks a bit knackered.

"She's alive. We're going after her tomorrow."

"I know." She's glad, for Bernard. For Sunny. And she feels absolutely rotten that she threw... is throwing? A snotty fit over the whole thing. But... gods. She wants to go.

"...you're not coming?"

"No." She doesn't elaborate. She's managed to get past the 'flailing and glaring' point of the emotional rollercoaster, but she's still pretty depressed about the whole thing.

She doesn't like being left out.

Faith is quiet, considering.

Then she nods, once, slightly.

"I'll kill some extra for you."

"Ta, Faith." But her heart isn't in it. It just isn't the same.

"Welcome."

Faith hugs her, one arm slung over the pyro's shoulders.

"Best I can do."

She leans into Faith.
"I know." It's not like Bernard would allow Faith to bring home a couple for the resident British pyro to blow up.

"If I understood that nitro stuff better, I'd blow 'em up, but as it is, I'll have to just stabbity."
