It's another weekend, and Kon has snuck his titans laptop into the bar. You'd think he'd be calm and collected about it, but oh no. He's got it in front of him as he sits in a booth, and he's glaring at the screen.

Glaring and muttering things about how it's not nearly -fast enough-. He looks ready to hit the keyboard, except he knows better.

Barely knows better.

Rescue him before he kills it?

He also happens to be in a bat logo shirt, because bat shirts are the -best- when you're broody and frustrated.

[Summary: Kon is found by Steph, which makes for great flail. He is also found by Tim, which makes for entirelly -different- flail as he's caught after ninja-snatching one of Tim's shirts. Oops?]

Steph recognises him, of course. She had a poster of him on her wall for years. She's still wearing her Robin uniform - it's much easier to lurk in the rafters with a cape on - and she crawls over to the beam directly above him and squints at the screen.

And since she happens to be in the rafters and he's focusing all his intention on the demonic evil machine laptop, he doesn't notice her. Yet. Instead, he just slams the laptop shut, thankfully holding back his strength, muttering a few words not fit for print.

Steph leans over the edge of the beam she's on and calls "Want any help there, SB?" in a faintly mocking tone of voice.

Okay. Kon was looking to do some needed research today. What he was -not- looking for was a fucking heart attack. And yet it feels like that's exactly what he gets as he glances up and sees...

Sees...

What?!

"Um," is all he manages to say, as his ability to speak takes a hike to Florida.

'Hi.' A dead girl was saying hi to him. A dead girl who happened to be the dead girlfriend of his boyfriend was talking to him.

The world is like, shifting completely offkilter, isn't it?

"You're a hallucination, aren't you?" He demands. "This is me having an allergic reaction to Gar's cooking." That was the ONLY EXPLAINATION.

"Not that I know of." Steph rubs her nose, staring at him. From this angle she can mostly see scruffy hair and bewildered eyes. "Although if this Gar's cooking is anything like mine, you might be."

"You... come down here?" Because if he's going to die a horrible mental death, he might as well make sure it's for for -real-. Though he's not sure how he'll make sure of that.

"All right." She lands on his table, narrowly missing the laptop, and sits cross-legged in front of him, amused by his wide eyes.

He immediately pinches her, as if pinching -her- would show that -he's- not dreaming.

To which Steph responds by smacking his hand as if he were a naughty toddler. Super-pinches hurt. "What was that for?"

Hey! He's not a naughty toddler! He's just... okay, there are no words to describe his emotions at the moment. "You're -dead-!"

"Oh, you know that?" Steph loses a bit of her good mood. "Yeah. Apparently heaven's a bar. This bar."

"Nice shirt," came the familiar voice from the side of the booth. There was clear amusement in the voice as Tim stood there, watching his boyfriend wrestle with modern technology.

...aaaand the point of ninja stealing a shirt is to NOT be caught. Kon is tempted to headdesk for the first time today by wonder of millitime, but resists the urge. He's also tempted to indulge in denial, but that'd be pretty stupid.

"Um," he says instead, which really isn't all that much better at all.

"Very eloquent, Kon," Tim said with a faint grin as he slid into the seat across from the other boy. "And I wonder where you got that shirt? Looks a little tight on you."

Yeah, Kon is so going to be eloquant when he's been caught red handed. That's just not going to happen. "Is it?" Kon replies, staying awaaay from question about origin.

"Mmhmm," Tim mused with a nod of the head. "It almost seems like the size isn't right." Yes, Tim was having a fun time toying with Kon. Hey, he was the one that had stolen the shirt.

But Kon wasn't going to admit it, oh no. Or at least he was going to try his damned best not to. He was going to save a little face -somehow-. "Didn't come in another size."

"Right. Because they sell so many of these commercially, don't they?" Tim inquired, cocking a brow as he leaned over, bringing a hand to trace the bat symbol on the shirt.

Kon should really just give up now, shouldn't he? He's way out of his league.

"Do they?"

"What do you think, Kon?" Tim asked, pressing his palm against the bat symbol of the shirt.

'fess up like a good boy now, Kon.

...yep. Kon knew when to give up the battle. Really.

"Okay, fine," He says, slumping a little. "I snatched it."

"Why, Conner Kent, I'm disappointed in you." Despite his words, though, Tim didn't seem angry at all. If anything, he seemed extremely amused.

"Why would you do such a thing?"

...well, he didn't look -mad-, anyway. That was something, right? Except for the fact he -did- look amused, which means...

That Kon's never going to hear the end of this. -Ever-.
