Chloe's back downstairs. It probably isn't all that smart for her to be back downstairs.
Anyone wanna ask why?
Anyone wanna ask why?

He doesn't see Chloe, though. He's eating chips and glaring at the back wall.

And for once, it has nothing to with Adam. YAY for Adam!
She doesn't notice him at first.
But when she does she calls out to him gently. Almost whispering.
"Adam. Are you ok?"
no subject
Adam snaps out of his reverie. "Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm fine." He keeps his voice at the same level as hers, and then pauses. "Wait, why are we whispering?"

Now that it's obvious that Chloe was neither drunk nor wrong yesterday, he feels more than a bit stupid. An apology is a little beyond him at the moment, though. So he'll settle for not being rude.
"You need some Tylenol for your headache or something?"
no subject
"No, I should. Yes, I would like some Tylenol."
no subject
"Okay, lemme see if I can do this right. Bar? Can I have some Tylenol for Chloe O'Brian?"
The Bar obligingly provides it. Adam prepares to toss it over to Chloe's table. "Here, catch."
no subject
"Thank you." She takes a pill out and swallows it.
"Oh, um. Did you find your room satisfactory?"
no subject
"Yeah, the rooms are nice. Tony told me I can't leave until I see the door, though. How long does that usually take?"
no subject
I TOLD YOU YOU CAN'T LEAVE UNTIL YOU SEE A DOOR!
no subject
"So what, there's like no pattern to it? I might never be able to leave?"
He doesn't really believe the Bar would keep him here for months. No way. Nuh-uh.
no subject
"That's entirely possible. But doubtful."
Chloe really ought to tell him about what happened to Kim. Or not. Either way, it may or may not come up.
"So you met up with Tony. What year did he say he comes from?"
Playing with Adam's brain? Nuuuu. Of course not.
no subject
Oh, Adam. You're going to be here for a loooong time. Sit back and enjoy the entropy-tastic view.
"Tony said he's from 2010. He explained the whole weird timeline thing. I don't know who all's from when, or who all's here, but it's always 2008 or 2010, isn't it?"
no subject
"Fruit please." Fruit platter number 1,472 appears.
"I'm from 2013."
no subject
He munches on a chip, thoughtfully.
"But everyone else from CTU here is from 2008 or 2010?"

"He was shot by a sniper, wasn't he? When he was taking Jack downtown to answer questions?"

He's still interested in the subject of dead people, though. "So can anyone come in here? Living or dead? Anyone can just, like, walk right in?"

Magic, sci-fi come true, and now fictional characters hanging around?
Adam gets up, goes over to Chloe's table, takes back the Tylenol and doses himself liberally with it.
"I just wanted to know if I was ever going to see my sister again," he says quietly.
no subject
"Maybe." She offers a sympathetic smile.
"Teri, Kim's mother, was here, so maybe you'll see your sister. What was her name?"
no subject
"Kim got to see her mom?"
no subject
Kim gets to see her parents, Chris gets to see her dad, Adam may very well get to see Sarah... Andrew isn't dead, yes, but Chloe would still like to see him.
And on a second thought, it might do Chase some good to see Angela again.
But the bar at the end of the universe is a strange and random place. It pulls people to it and doesn't pull others.
no subject
"How come there are so many people from CTU here?" he asks offhandedly. "And how many is 'a lot?' Tony didn't say how many there were exactly."
[OOC: Can we slowtime this? Mun needs teh sleep. :)]

"Jack, Tony, Michelle, Bill, myself, Ryan, Audrey, Chase and Kim. And a few others that don't work for CTU. President Palmer, Chris Chappelle."
Poor Adam. So behind.
