Guppy is at the bar. With beer. Playing chess with the flamingo.
He is a happy bunny today. Come say hello and he will grin at you. A lot.

No more black eye, Asar-Suti notices.

"Yes, they did." he says smiling.
'Well it couldn't have been by much worse methods, but they seem to have got there'

He holds up his hands, which are covered in small healing cuts.
"He came outside, furious at the damage and picked up this bit of wood. I thought he was going to hit me with it, which it turned out he wasn't, so I ran for it. He chased me; turns out he wanted me to pay for the damage but I didn't know that at the time, until we got to the sea. Then..."
He glances at Mitzi.
'I screwed up. Big time. Thought it would be a good idea to make a load of oil appear so that Guppy's father would fall in the sea. But when he slipped he hit Guppy instead. With shoes on. I don't know if I could have got them off him in time if he hadn't fallen through a portal into here.'
"You didn't mean any harm. The point is, he thought I had drowned, which shocked him into making things up with me. He didn't really want me dead or anything like that."

"I am glad that you made up after all that unhappiness and drama, though. Working on it to become a good relationship will take time, of course, but the main thing is, you have both made the first step now."

"And yes, people often don't realise that they care until it's too late. That's more or less how that part of the Holby curse works."

"Because people with family feuds are significantly more likely to lose family members. It just happens. People then realise how much they mean too late."

One is pleased to provide edumacation."That sounds not so much like a curse, more like narrative causality overdone by a universe not getting tired of the drama," Asar-Suti muses.
Everything is fictional somewhere...

[ooc: The mun must now unfortunately go, to avoid exposure to words not in the vocabularly of a polite person. Slowtime?]

[[OOC: Good night - see you around! I'll be on tomorrow during the day, but not in the evening, due to plans to watch 'Batman Begins' with the Nazgul.]]

'It can do.'
[ooc: that's okay, I won't be around much this evening but will be here until 2pm. I'm starring in Oklahoma tonight for the school sixth form musical.]

"I know. I've just been too busy." he says, glancing down at his hands.
Mitzi doesn't like this topic, because it scares her, so she attempts a subject change.
'My flock will have three proper members by tomorrow. Are you sure you don't want to be in it?'
no subject
She still believes that? Oh, there will be one disappointed little bird!
no subject
'And Ray is in my flock now.'

"It's not even twenty one days yet."
'It will hatch. Tomorrow. At twenty past nine to be precise.'
no subject
Silly little bird, poor thing!
"Don't be too disappointed if it doesn't," he says, aloud.

"Mitzi, remember what I was trying to tell you the other day?"
'It doesn't need fertilising. It's not a plant.'
"Yes it does."
'Well then it has been fertilised. It's GROWING. I can feel it. I can see it growing inside the shell, getting bones and wings and feathers and a tiny little beak. It's little heart is beating.'

Mitzi picks one of the chess pieces that she took off Guppy and puts it in front of her. She then closes her eyes, glows and an egg appears in front of them with 'Mitzi's eg' written on it in felt pen.
'Switching magic. The chess piece is now on our table at home. I wrote on it earlier in case I needed to bring it here, so that I would be guarenteed to get the right egg.'
She raises one wing and a shining egg of pink light appears. Guppy instinctively ducks, knowing that she could make it explode if she wanted to.
'Right. Now have a look.'
[ooc: There should be a chick inside.]

The light would not have been necessary for him, and just for the sake of his own most familiar sense, he draws a small, sizzling purple rune oer it, and gets the same answer.
"There is life in there - how did you do that??"
no subject
'I told you. Out of a box of six, five were dead and this one was alive. Do you really think I would have been sitting on it all this time if it wasn't? I'm not completely stupid.'
"But it's impossible."

no subject
'Oh Mitzi, I'm so sorry for not having believed you. I'll never think you're so stupid again. I can't believe you two. Even though I've proved I'm right, you're still trying to find ways to prove me wrong.'
no subject
"What shall you do with the chicken, however that happened?" he asks.
no subject
"No we're not. I'm not even supposed to have you at home. You'll have to keep him here if you want to raise him. And it won't be fair on him. He needs to be with other chickens."
'We're keeping him at home. I need to keep an eye on you too.'
Guppy yawns and looks at his watch.
"We'll think of something. I need to go and get some sleep. I was on an early shift today."
He picks up the egg and Mitzi hops onto his shoulder. He smiles.
"See you later."
