Val's sitting at a table, the same action figure (Anakin Episode I), that she is somehow convinced is of Ender, and her notebook out. This time, however, she has another book with her. Please feel free to tell her that the little figure eying her work is not really of her brother.

"Val? What is that?" Jaina asks, gesturing towards the action figure on the table as she walks over.

Val holds it up and waves its little arm so that it waves at Jaina. "It's an action figure. A sort of Earth-toy that kids play with." She eyes it. "I can't figure out why it's my brother."

"A doll of your brother?" Jaina bites her lip as she thinks. "Did Bar give it to you?"

"Yeah. Bar gave it to me with dinner last night. I have no clue why, really. Bar likes to tease me sometimes." She chuckles and shrugs. "Strange things some universes have."

Jaina nods. "She gave me a book on Grandfather once. That was strange."

Val raises an eyebrow. "Bar gave you a book on Anakin? That's cool."

"It was on the fall of the Republic. Not very pleasent to read."

Val winces. "Erk. Um, was it a history, or a novel-type?" She has a bad feeling about this.

She shrugs, taking a seat at Val's table. "I think it was from Earth, but those holovids were accurate enough."

"Yeah, the vids are scarily accurate." She wrinkles her nose. "This might sound strange, but how much do you know about your grandfather?"

"What I read in the book, what Uncle Luke and Mom have told me." She bites her lip. "I'm Darth Vader's granddaughter; I know what he did."

"I wasn't meaning what Vader did. I was meaning who Anakin was." She pauses. "The man who married your grandmother, the man who loved, the man who has deep-seeded passions, and was told by his world such emotions were bad."

"They're still the same person."

"Sort of, yes. However, in another way, no." There's an odd tone in Val's voice, a tone that hints that she's spent perhaps too much time on this. ~~And her mun would very much like her to explain what she's thinking.~~

"Val, I know he's been redeemed, but the choices he made as Darth Vader are still his."

Peter wanders by, then stops, and just stares.

Really, there's nothing else to say about his actions.

Stares.

Val's writing, oblivious as always. Doodedoo.

He pokes her.

"Eeeee." She turns around and swats at Peter. "What was that for?"

"Why do you have an action figure of our -brother-?" Why did they even make those?

"I have no clue, Peter. Bar gave it to me with dinner last night." She eyeballs it. "Frelling strange thing."

Peter pokes it. "It looks strange for some reason."

Val shrugs. "Of course it looks strange. It's a frelling plastic action figure of our brother. Not really something which is all that normal."
