Today is Wednesday.
Edmund starts work on Friday.
Bernard said he was to pick specials on his own.
He's fairly certain, having watched the other bartenders, that the specials ought to be somewhat original.
Which would be why Edmund has gone up to Bar and asked her a question quietly, and was not entirely surprised to get a very large book as an answer.
Also a pot of tea, because one can never go wrong with tea.
He takes his new acquisitions over to one of the couches, and makes himself comfortable.
It's a big book.

Screaming o... *She trails off and looks at Edmund with wide eyes.* I'm not sure I would approve of that at all. Why are you studying this?

Possibly not entirely helpfully.
Curiously, he's not blushing either.

*She smiles, repositioning Myles. It would be rather nice having Edmund behind the bar.*

"I've... met an Indy, and a Mike, yes. I don't believe I've met a George, and I couldn't tell you if the two I have met are bartenders. I think that Mike had a broken leg? He was walking on his hands at the time. I suggested crutches instead, as there might be glass on the floor."

George, however, did not. He's from Tortall as well, and one of my best friends.

Edmund smiles.
"I look forward to meeting him at some point, then."

*She nods, eyeing the book again.*
George would be happy to help you out, I'm sure. He tends on Tuesdays.

Edmund shrugs.
"He was human when I met him, of course, but we did discuss it. I don't believe I'd ever met a Talking Turtle in Narnia."

He raises an eyebrow.
"And yes, hundreds of them. In Narnia, not in England, of course."

*She bites her lip, beyond intrigued.*
Really? *a pause* Have you given anymore thought to your drawings?
