It would appear Sawyer got restless during one of Claire's outings.

He's going to be in so much trouble.

Anyway, here he is in a booth, having managed to make his way down the stairs without falling. He's dressed only in a pair of jeans and wrapped in a couple of blankets that occasionally shift so that you can see the green scaly skin that has completely taken over his right side. His hand on that side is still missing, as are a couple of toes now.

A plate of dry toast sits nearby. He attempted to eat, but that just wasn't happening.

"Still, rather not mention it right now. Don't want to jinx it."

"Fine." She shrugs. It's bugging her now. Damn you Sawyer.

Switching gears back to the original topic, "Claire hasn't lost anything? And Seth is ok, right? No nasty green fungus growing on him?"

"No, yes, and no. Looks like whatever it is decided to quit with me. Lucky me."

He grins mischievously and holds out his right arm. "Wanna touch it?"

"Are you- NO!" She kinda does though.

But more so, she wants to take a sample of it to a lab. Actually, if Sawyer wouldn't mind, she'd like to cryogenically freeze him and take his warping body to a lab.

He chuckles. "Far as I can tell, this ain't something growing on my skin. This is my skin, like it's actually turning into lizard skin."

Sawyer'd have to veto that whole 'freezing him and so he can go be dissected' plan.

"So it's scales then." Curious.

I wonder if my baby will have any sort of skin problems.

She rubs her belly absent-mindedly.

"Yep." He eyes her hand on her midsection. "You starting to feel bad now?"

"You could say that. Someone I met here doesn't agree with me." And BOY does she look pissed now.

I mean, really, royally p.o.'d.

"This your creepy harp-playing boyfriend you're talking about?"

"My creepy, harp-playing rapist."

"See, not nearly as funny when you say it that way."

"He's a mentally unstable menace. I got here, passed out, and he took full advantage of my state. Now, I'm carrying his demonic freak alien baby. And who knows what it's going to look and act like. Evil wizardy tends to run in families. And he's this kind of super-evil wizard thing." She rubs her stomach a little and looks down at the table.

"My baby is going to be some sort of Anti-Christ."

It's probably good he's not actually eating his toast, because hearing that would have made him choke.

"You're... pregnant?!?"

"Yes. I took the test and it was positive." Hence, the whole 'I'm really not right in the head right now' stuff.

"Um... congratulations, I guess?" What the hell do you say to that?

Chloe's going to give him a minute to rearrange what he just said into "You want me to have him killed for you?"

Or really, anything similiar. Because giving birth to the creature that will try to destroy the planet? Very rarely is that the best end to the means.

For the time being, she'll just stare at him disbelievingly. And GLARE. A LOT.

Instead, he asks something that will probably just make her madder in another way.

"You sure it's his?"

"I woke up in his room. I have never woken up in another person's room except Andrew and before you say a single word may I remind you that I am on very good terms with a wizard from the Harry Potter books who I can ask to have you changed into a female, minus all of the parts you like. Two of my co-workers have already suffered this fate."

"Point made. I've lost enough parts this week, thanks."

He scratches his chin thoughtfully. "So, I reckon the next question is... you planning on having the baby?"

"I imagine so. I'm Bound, there doesn't seem to be any sort of abortion clinic here, and I imagine anyone I ask for help will fall under some evil spell to keep the baby safe while it grows."

Again at a loss for words, he tips over salt shaker and moves the granules around on the table with his left index finger.

"Fucking bar, huh?"

Chloe huffs. "Yes. For lack of a more fitting word, fucking bar."

And with that, Chloe's mun decides it's fully ok to die from giggles.

"I named the baby."

"You named the Anti-Christ?"

"If it's a girl, Catherine Elizabeth. If it's a boy, Henry James." She replies, running a hand over her tummy.

"Well... those are nice names. And, you know, maybe it won't be all that evil. Maybe it'll just be... a little evil, you know?"
