Random's in the bar...
...again.

After a lot of tea, he's looking a little more awake. He's still reading 'The Kraken Wakes' which is odd, as it's quite short.

'Oh I've never read that before. But I like science fiction. What's it about?'

Yomiko likes almost anything that comes in print.

"It's about an marine based alien invasion of earth. Sort of a 'War of the Worlds' meets 'Sphere' I suppose."

He grins.

"It's got an interesting use of media. Including news reports, television broadcasts and whatnot."

He holds out a hand.

"I'm Random, by the way. Random of Amber."

"That sounds very interesting. I'll have to put it on my 'to read' list."

She takes his hand and smiles, "I'm Yomiko. Yomiko Readman of Tokyo. Where is Amber? I don't think I've ever heard of it."

Oh, Nancy wouldn't be pleased with her at all.

"It's a guarded secret. No one has. I used to live in Tokyo. I was a manager of the Kabuki theatre in Ginza."

He smiles.

"I loved my years spent there. Where about are you?"

Yomiko is no stranger to secrets. She's got a couple herself. She nodd and returns Random's smile.

"Downtown, near the shopping district. But I find a travel a good deal. Before coming here, I was spending some time in the States."

He nods.

"Not been there myself for a few centuries. But I loved Tokyo. It was so alive with everything. So many people cohabiting. Amber has a very low population density. It was a refreshing change."

A few centuries...what was it the older gentleman had said - other times as well. It was enough to give a girl a headache.

'I can imagine. I like Tokyo, but I find I prefer quieter places.'

"Where are you living in the States?"

He takes a quick sip of tea.

Yomiko pauses at that. She probably shouldn't say too much, given her last mission, but she could be general.

'Around Washington D.C. I was there for work. What do you do?'

"I'm a Prince. Amber is ruled by monarchs."

He notices the pause, but doesn't comment.

"A Prince? I've never met a prince before. Or at least, not until now."

She thinks a moments. "Monarchs? There are more than one?"

"Only in that when one falls, another will take his place. There has only been one. The throne is now in contest."

"Oh dear. That has to be stressful. Is that why you spend time in the Bar? Or are you Bound like me?"

OOC: Mun is going to have to go to bed soon.

He stands.

"I'm sorry. I have to go. Someone is calling."

His eyes are distracted, and his hand is clutching his pocket.

"It was nice to meet you..."

"Nice to meet you too." She watches him leave. She'll have to talk to him again.
