*Snow, Millie and Wade are at the usual booth after finishing dinner, the family curled up together and Snow reading to them from a book she got from Bar. It's probably Dr. Seuss or at least something that is most definately not a fairy tale*

Faith wanders past them with a somber expression on her face, seeming not to notice they're there.

"Hm?"

Faith glances over at Snow, blinking. "Oh, hi, Snow. What? Oh. Uhm. Yes?"

She eyes the kids, then looks back up at their mother. "It's...a thing."

Faith looks at the kids again, then sighs and looks at Snow.

"Do you know River Tam?"

Faith chews on her lower lip.

"You know what a gunslinger is?"

"OK. Well. You, uh, remember when I was having those godawful prophetic dreams a while back?"

*There is a slightly tipsy man in a hideous suit at a nearby table. He smiles at Snow, making a failing attempt at charming.*

I always said a mother should read to her k... ki... children.

*His smile stays, however uncharming it is.*

And learning is verreh important, of course.

*He leans over, not getting up even though he is meeting a lady, and holds out his hand.*

Doctor Frederick Chilton, of the Baltimore Hospital for the Criminally Insane.

*irked* I am the head administrator, I'll have you know.

*He blinks, having recognized the name, and looks bemused* Snow White? As in...

*He's remembered where he had heard the name before, now. And he's leering grinning with slightly drunken amusement, seeming to not have heard her.*

Snow White... ha... Fairest of them all, hm?

*He points to Millie and Wade.* And whose are those, then? *He laughs shortly under his breath.* Doc's? Grumpy's? Bashful's?

Oh, look. There's that man again. He's in more formal attire tonight - light blue shirt, dark tan vest, brown pants, and oh my goodness, shoes.

He's over there. In that chair. Looking around with bright blue eyes and an almost-smile plastered on his face.

Should poor Chilton be saved? Why, of course not.

Coming over, he gives her that almost-smile, and reaches down to lightly touch the twins on their shoulders. It's almost as though he's been waiting years to be able to do that.

"Good evening, Snow." He knows her. His voice implies that. And unless you want to play him as looking like Fables-verse Beast in human form... How is that?

*snicker*

Charles sits down next to Millie, after bowing to the babe. "May I?"

Charles plays with Millie and Wade a little, being rather impishly silent as far as the realm of conversation goes.

He looks up at Snow, "mischevious little boy" written all over his face. "I was not asking you, Mme White. I was asking your lovely daughter."

Charles chuckles, and it is so much more pleasant than it once sounded. He tickles them both, delighting in the shrieks.
