A rather soaked Valentine walks into the bar from the back. She's in a grees swimsuit, which is now covered by a towel. Plunking on a stool at the bar, a book appears in front of her, along with a steaming mug of tea. Eyeballing the book: (Der Prozess mit Die Verwandlung) she picks it up and starts to read, still dripping, and very much still in her swimsuit.

She pauses for a bit. "It's fine to trust in a power, but one can't put all of that trust in it. That's why we're human. We make things happen. I've spent most of my life being controlled by someone or something. I don't want to see anyone else get caught in that."

"I know exactly what you mean...I spent a long time controlled by a man I thought I loved...and the only way I got away was killing him." She said softly.
[ooc: slowtime? or wrap? brain is protesting at hour]

There's an odd choke in Val's voice. "I was controlled by, well, my brother. I can't really bring myself to kill him."
[ooc: How's about slowtime. I have a feeling these two will go on for a while.]

She pauses. "Val, that's horrible...I'm so sorry. The only reason I killed Zekka...was because I realised he lied...everything he said to me was a lie. And I couldn't let him betray the Rogues."
[ooc: great! I have that feeling too. XP 'night!]
