and a variety of small bone flasks of medicine for the ill.

Elaine comes over uncertainly. "This is the cure?" she asks shyly. She's never met Lady Ako, and she's a little shy. "My friend has the sickness...how long does it take?"

She looks anxious and exhausted. It's been a very, very long weekend for her.

"I am sorry for being forward; I just do not wish to see her suffer any longer."

She hands over a flask,

"No more than a couple of hours, my dear."

A deep bow after Elaine takes it,

"Some results should be seen immediately."

Elaine lets out a long sigh. "Oh, that is good news. Thank you very much, my Lady." She smiles, but it's at odds with the tears that fill her eyes.

Relief will do that sometimes.

Elaine heads back upstairs to Christine's room, where Ryan is watching over his daughter.
