Asar-Suti sits by the fireplace, listening to his iPod, and brooding.
He's got iced coffee, and he's fiddling with some mithril wire.-

"I've been here, and in the library. I'm a busy god. Gil hired you?"

"But yes, I do recognise your voice. So you did find somebody to chage you into human-shape?"
Gaspode definitely smelled better. And looked better.

"Those are nettles - they sting! You can make tea from them, but never touch them when not wearing gloves. Here, let me have a look at the basket, can I?"

"This is peppermint - you want more of that, the kitchen uses lots of it for tea and drinks," he says. "You want to avoid that - foxglove, poisonous. It's just a flower, unless you make special medicies, but we don't. Parsley and basil - you need more of that, again. This is Herb Peter, a plant from Gil's world - it goes into the herbal tea we offer. But not quite as much."
He digs a bit further, and then cries 'Ouch!!'
"Oh, those are brambles. Please leave them alone; they will produce blackberries later."

"Hello," he says to Asar-Suti, with a little smile. His hair is smoother than usual, most of it braided back.
no subject
"How are you, and how's the luckdragon?" Asar-Suti asks. "I spoke to him a few days ago for quite a while."
He looks at Atreyu, taking in the braid and the way he is standing.
"Is anything the matter?"
no subject
"Your situation hasn't changed, then?" he ventures after a moment or two.
no subject
"I'm still worried about Gil; he's - strange. I don't really know..."
He looks at the young Greenskin, almost darkly.
"And something is the matter with you as well. Do tell me, or shall I have to worry about you as well?"
He realises that it's an unfair argumentative angle he is using, but since was a Dark God ever fair?

"Anythingthe matter with Cynric? I haven't seen him for quite a while," he says, guessing what else might be wrong.
no subject
Perhaps the fault is his own, for spending so much time with Falkor, but the luckdragon eases the quiet pain of separation from Cynric. The cycle is a strange one. And that cannot be the reason in any case, because Cynric is always with Lorrin.

He sighs deeply. "His forced marriage has done damage to his soul, I fear."

Real life music is always better.

He grins. "Playing 'Yesterday' is out, then, is it?" he asks. "How about 'What a wonderful world' or 'It's a kind of magic' instead?"
no subject
He starts playing 'Yesterday' but shakes his head at himself. "Just did something stupid--no, not stupid. Just something I shouldn't have. And having thoughts I don't want to have as a result."
He changes songs. His voice is almost as raspy as Louis Armstrong's.
I see trees of green........ red roses too
I watch 'em bloom..... for me and for you
And I think to myself.... what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue..... clouds of white
Bright blessed days....warm sacred nights
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world.
The colors of a rainbow.....so pretty ..in the sky
Are there on the faces.....of people ..going by
I see friends shaking hands.....sayin'.. how do you do
They're really sayin'......I love you.
I hear babies cry...... I watch them grow
They'll learn much more.....than I'll never know
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world
The colors of a rainbow.....so pretty ..in the sky
Are there on the faces.....of people ..going by
I see friends shaking hands.....sayin'.. how do you do
They're really sayin'...I ....LOVE....YOU
I hear babies cry...... I watch them grow
You know their gonna learn
a whole lot more than I'll never know
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself .......what a wonderful world.

"That was wonderful. It does me good. What was that stupid thing, or would you rather not say?"

"Did Loki the god try to kill you yet?" he adds, conversationally.
