(no subject)

Random's in the bar, playing with fire.

Or rather, a candle, a cup of water, a rock and a small paper fan.

His Tarot cards are there too. As well as a whole lot of string.

Not to mention a glass of Scotch. That's helping the situation, too.

Having delivered his basket of herbs, Gaspode strides out of the kitchens so energetically, that his bow wave blows one of Randoms cards from the table. He realizes it and kneels down to pick it up. Handing it back to Random, he apologizes. Which card? The Fool, of course.

"I'm sorry. This is my first day on the job. I'm a little excited, you know." He smiles. Quite charmingly so. And his couriosity gets the better of him: "What are all these things for?" His wave includes the odd assortment of devices on Randoms table.

"What are you trying to learn?" And, suddenly realizing that might be a little too straightforward, he decides to at least introduce himself before nosing around. "Sorry again. My name is Gaspode." And offers his hand to shake.

Gaspode turns his hand palm up, too, mirroring him. As he doesn't mind any kind of dirt, he considers it an odd ritual of greeting. But he has already seen stranger things around here.

"Why have you touched it, if it is no good idea?"

Gaspode smells a story behind this. And he's eager to hear it, though the other seems not too eager to tell it. Well, one more try.

"How can black hands help a friend?" His most innocent face seems the right one to show.
