[OOM: Faith and Joyce have a Forgiveness Moment in Faith's room.]

Faith comes downstairs, dressed in an athletic bra and biker shorts, her hair piled on her head. She's been training, and she's a little sweaty...she could do with a shower, and she'll probably take one soon. But for now, she's here, sitting at a table with a bottle of water, a burger, and fries.

Her security badge and the scar from when Buffy stabbed her in the gut with her own dagger are both plainly visible.

Also? She's smiling.

Faith snorts and pokes his ribs lightly.

"I'm not charming."

He gives her a look, as if to ask if she really wants to start a tickling fight.

She gives him a look right back.

"What? I'm not."

...which is why he attacks, sides and underarms first.

Faith squawks and flails.

"Nick! Don'tdon'tdon'tnofairnotenoughclothes!"

"You asked for it."

No mercy.

"Didnot! Evil tickle beast! Niiiick! Stoppitstoppitplease!"

"Oh you did."

Noooo mercy...and vampire speed and plenty of experience at tickling.

"Nick! Supposed to be friends...friends do not tickle! Stoppit! Stoppit please now!"

No, friends do not tickle. Only good friends tickle. Better friends eventually stop and kiss their Slayers on the cheek with a grin.

Nick's Slayer. Faith's been called worse.

She catches her breath and glares, a little. "Bitch."

No, she doesn't mean it.

"Easy game."

He doesn't mean that either.

But he's grinning.

Faith pouts at him.

"Am not."

"For tickling, certainly."

But he's smiling like a schoolboy and the laughter is dancing in his eyes as he wiggles his fingers at her.

"Should I give you an example?"

Faith wraps her arms around her stomach, still pouting.

"If you loved me, you wouldn't."

He pouts right back.

"That's low."

Faith crumples.

And embraces him, tightly, arms around his neck.

"Sorry. Know you do. Love you too. Please don't tickle me now that my arms are no longer protecting me."

"But it's fun."

Yes, he's three.

"For you, maybe."

She kisses his cheek, then his jaw.

"Please?"

He rolls his eyes and nods.

"I'll be a good boy."

"Thank you."

Faith nuzzles his cheek, snuggling into him.

"Though I think we're far past the point where you could call yourself a boy."

He smirks at her gently.

"I've been called 'the eternal boy' by more than one old friend. I have a tendency to...get a bit childish."

"I've noticed that. It's cute. Also sexy."

He pats her on the head.

"You're really missing Connor, aren't you?"

Me, sexy? Silly silly girl.

Faith snorts.

"No. Well, yes, but that's not why...you really are gorgeous, Nick."

She cups his cheek in her hand, brushing her thumb over his cheekbone. "Absolutely gorgeous."
