"How you been?" He was still smiling. He couldn't help it.

Not nearly as good as you, it seems.
Been tossin' babies, haven't you?

"Catching them, actually. I'm addicted to it." He paused, pushing a hand through his shorter hair. "You get my note?"

What, you think I come up with comedy gems like that on my own? 'Course I got your note, asshole.

That should have knocked Andrew's smile down a notch, but it did just the opposite. He'd really missed Raph's crazy ass and his backwards attempts at affection.

"Just checking." Andrew turned and ordered a chocolate milk from Bar, just for the principle of it. "It was four months," he remarked, offhand.

No shit, really?

"No shit." Andrew took a long sip, his eyes falling closed for a moment. It felt, for just a second, like he'd never left. "You think I'd look this different after, what? A week?"

Took less than a minute or two for me to look this different, so...yeah.

"Yeah, well, they don't have magic in Newark. At least not that I'm aware of." Andrew smirked. "Takes a bit longer."

OH I been to Newark...I know. Trust me.

Andrew snorted. "I can't believe you don't like it there. It's a regular paradise."

Last time I saw sprawl like that, it was coverin' the gateway to hell. Think that says it all really.

"I spend most of my time in the city nowadays anyway," Andrew replied. "Was thinking about moving. But I'd rather commute than make Sam do it."

You two still together?

"No. I was thinking about moving in with her because we broke up," Andrew replied, casting Raph a withering glance.

Well how the hell was I supposed to know that?

"I would have thought the whole 'I don't want her to have to commute' thing would have given it away."

*Raph just looks at him in confusion. Raph has never had the luxary of just writing someone off....so the notion of Sam and Large not being a couple and still living together makes perfect sense to him.*

"Yeah, we're still together. Thanks for asking." Andrew chuckled, turning back to his milk. "Everything okay with you and yours?"

No, he wasn't asking about her, but then again, Andrew doubted Raph would make the mistake of thinking he actually was. You'd think four months would assuage a grudge, yet... nope.

Yeah, I guess. Mel left an' came back...so Mike's been better.

*Raph glances to see Large's reaction.*

"Huh." One person whom Andrew hadn't been doing much thinking about had been Mel. If you had guessed that this had been on purpose, and a measure of self-protection, you would have been right on the money. "I didn't know she'd left."

Yup. Still tender, huh? Good to know.

Andrew frowned. "What the fuck kinda remark was that?"
