Cuthbert is at the bar, rather than on the usual couch, and has graf instead of coffee.

He looks a bit preoccupied, but is really doing a fairly good job of concealing just how jittery he is.

Occasionally, he glances around the room.

*Iris walks by, then pauses, looking at the young man.*

Are you okay?

Cuthbert glances up, then nods with a slight smile.

"I'm well enough, thankee-sai."

Are you sure? You look a little... intense.

*She has a worried look on her face.*

Cuthbert shakes his head.

"It's nothing, really."

It's not nothing, but it isn't anything he'd discuss with a stranger.

"I don't believe we've met." He touches the brim of his hat briefly. "Cuthbert Allgood."

She smiles, then curtsies a little.

"I'm Iris. Where are you from, Mr. Allgood?"

"Gilead, New Canaan, In-World, Mid-World, if you're from Earth you've probably never heard of it." Cuthbert rattles the by now routine answer off cheerfully enough. "And you, sai Iris?"

"Originally Greece, which is on Earth, but I've been elsewhere as part of my job. It sounds like you've been all over the place."

Cuthbert shrugs. "Not really. Just Mid-World, and here. But I know a lot of folk from Earth, including some from Greece."

"Really? Who? Maybe I know them."

Cuthbert pauses for a moment, thinking back. "A woman called Eris, and another called Echo. They were related, if I remember right. Also, er, godesses."

Iris smiles brightly.

"I know them both. Though technically Echo isn't a goddess. She's a nymph. And related... well, Eris' mother did curse Echo, so I guess that makes them related."

There's another light shrug. "Well, all I know it Eris called Echo her niece."

He smiles a bit crookedly. "Goddess, nymph...I tend to lump immortals together, having never interacted with a single one before coming here. But say thankya for setting me straight."

Iris smiles. "Eris called Echo her neice? Wow. That was sweet of her."
