Behrooz is in the bar, sitting at at table, looking over some sheet music the bar had given him. Occasionally, he writes notes on the music in Turkish.

Feel free to bother him. Or offer him food. Or something.

[For 24-ways: Tony and Behrooz talk about Sara and music, while their muns make snarky OOC comments. Behrooz meets Connor, and they deduce that they're probably not from the same universe, and they talk about their lives. With some evasiveness.]

“That’s Sara Sidle. She’s a friend of mine.”

"Yeah, I thought that was probably it."

Behrooz wonders if Sara knew his mother tried to kill Tony. Hmmm. Seems like she would have been less inclined to buy him lunch.

“I don’t think I told her about you.”

If he did, it was in connection to that crazy woman who tried to kill him. Maybe she has a short memory.

"She didn't seem to know me."

Or his "sheer overwhelming cuteness" was enough to override the crazy-woman-connection.

Yes, because who doesn’t love an icklewickle TerrorKid?

“How’d you like her?”

Um... Richards? Oh, Navi! Navi! And Tariq's probably not a fangirl, either.

"She was nice," he says. He's not going to admit how many people he's gotten to ease his tab, so instead he ends it with, "... friendly."

That’s probably because Tariq wasn’t a girl.

“Yeah.” He doesn’t mention that she was involved in the investigation against his mother.

The fact that RooRoo bashed his pretty head in with a shovel can't help, either.

"Just wondering," Behrooz's eyes slip briefly to the music and back up again.

Alas, Roo killed the only eye candy we’d have for episodes. Mun was Not Pleased.

“What’s that you’re reading?” He points to the sheet of music. Yes, he’s asking about reading the music, not a book.

Was a pretty cool scene, though. And the source of countless 24 in-jokes. And this icon.

"Um, the bar gave it to me," he slides over the music, and if you're expecting her to come up with some beginner's piece at this time of night, you overestimate her, "The notes... are to help me read it. Get a sense of it." Really, it makes sense in his mind. Somehow. Even if that explanation wasn't too helpful and the written-in notes are in Turkish.

Oh, yeah, Tony has no clue what those notes mean, but he nods anyway because hey, he can dig it! “Hmm. How well can you read music?”

"I learned... yesterday." Is that really an answer? Probably not.

“Really? Is he teaching you the piano?”

"Yes," he says. "He started a couple days ago."

“How do you like it?” Tony never learned piano. His sister did. He just sang along.

"I like it." He can't bring himself to say something like 'it's fun' or 'It's like speaking English. The first time.'

He nods. “My sister played piano. Plays piano. Has one in her house in San Francisco.” Or at least I think she does. I don’t know what’s real out there.

"Oh." Pause. Then he shrugs slightly. "I don't know anyone on the outside who plays."

“Not even through the Witness Protection program?” He can comprehend that Behrooz’s TerrorTeen life was a sheltered one, but now that he’s moved around a bit he certainly should have met someone who could play.

"I guess I didn't know... all of them that well." Other instruments - there had certainly been a few prospective guitarists and those involved in the high school's music groups. But most came from families that either didn't see a point in it and/or couldn't afford lessons.

“All of what? The instruments or the students?”

"The... students." Well, the ones that actually went to school, in any case.
