Faith comes into the bar from upstairs, obviously just out of the shower - all the blood is gone, and her hair is still wet, clinging to her shoulders.

Her expression is completely unreadable as she moves to the bar and acquires two things - coffee, and a room key - before moving to a table.

He gives her another small smile, and another shrug,

"No pain for Dream. And it is not a problem for me to be here."

"Good."

Faith smiles, soft, fond.

"Thank you. For caring about me even though I'm not yours."

"I do not only like those who are mine, Faith. And I do not particularly like all of those who are mine. My feelings and those who are within my realm do not always coincide."

Ask him about some of those he doesn't care for! Or not, whatever.

"I am fond of you. I always have been."

Yes, even when she was running around with the Mayor.

Faith blushes and ducks her head.

"Never bitterly disappointed?"

"Occasionally bemused, but not bitterly disappointed. Regardless of your moral outlook you have never been terribly predictable."

And when you think about it, Dream isn't the most moral of beings either. He's bigger than that.

Faith snickers, a little, at that.

"Yeah. I take pride in that."

"As do I."

He says with a smile,

"It is one of the things which I admire about you."

Faith blushes, and ducks her head.

"Flattery."

"No. Flattery would be speaking things that are not true. I did not tend to do that even before I married Moiraine, and have tended to do rather less of it since then."

Faith glances up at him, a little wryly.

"It still surprises me. That people care."

"I am rather surprised by that fact with regards to myself as well. It is certainly a unique collection of people here, is it not?"

He has an equally wry look on his face.

"Yeah."

Faith laughs, softly.

"Yes it is."

"Including you."

He says mildly,

"You have been through much, and can not be entirely blamed for the things which you once did. Even if you could, you have spent a very long time becoming far better than those who once had reason to condemn you."

Faith blushes scarlet.

"Not better than...not really. I don't think so."

"I know."

And somewhere in the two words is the opinion that if she did think so he probably would not. Yet it is the way it is, so she will just have to put up with his pride.

The blush may get a little deeper.

He reaches over to pat her on the head fondly, and makes certain that her coffee is warm.

She may lean into the patting a little.

Or maybe a lot.

"Would you like to spend time in one of Daniel's worlds, Faith?"

His own being in the past, and rather more likely to have people from here to get in the way of her vacation.

"I as Daniel would be pleased to see you again under better circumstances."

Faith blinks at him.

"...could I do that and not be gone from here very long?"

"As long as you wanted, and back as soon as you wished."

He affirms quietly.

Faith licks her lips and nods, once, slowly.

"...I don't have any money on me, but...yeah...that'd be good."

"You do not need it, Faith. When would you like to go?"

Reality is also a little lax when it comes to small things like legal currency and the Endless.

"...now. I can be back tomorrow? Now."

Faith is, perhaps, a little twitchy.

"Someplace where I don't have to be a Slayer. Or Security. Or anything at all."

And Daniel holds a hand out to her, standing up from his seated position in the air as he does so.
