(no subject)

Johnny had been away on his world, but now he arrived back in the bar. His expression was troubled, but thoughtful. He had discovered some alarming, and interesting things from his past. Particularly what really happened to his father. He paused to check the door after it closed behind him. Good. It still was letting him out. He wondered how much longer he was going to have that option for a while. He sat down at a seat near the observation window, brooding some.

He could use a distraction.

Johnny nodded, "Mostly fine, yes."

He smiled again, "It's ok, but thanks for your concern."

She shrugs. "I lived with two boys and a girl who were all quite incapable of taking care of themselves. Not that I'm much better, but still." She grins.

"So here's a question - can you see the door?" Nods in the direction of the (to her) blank wall that she knows the door is in.

He chuckled a little, "I see. My sympathies then."

Johnny glanced over, and nodded, "Yes, I see it. It's still working for me."

She sticks her tongue out good-naturedly. "Lucky. Although according to what I've heard, if I -do- see the door, I'll end up moving on to... wherever the hell I'm spending my afterlife. So..." she shrugs. "I guess a bar is more interesting. Even if it has totally fucked me over... *GLARE*"

Johnny nodded, "Well, can think of worse place to spend the afterlife, so I'd say it's an improvement."

He added, "Got a feeling my so-called luck's going to run out soon anyway."

"Ah, well... good luck with that." April smiles and realizes she's rather hungry... and hasn't eaten in probably two days. "Look, it's been great talking to you, but I -have- to eat." She stands. "I'll see you around, okay?"

Johnny nodded, "By all means, go ahead. Nice meeting you, April. Hopefully our next one won't be quite so ackward." He had a slightly playful look in his eyes as he smiled.
