"And you are how old?"

He smiled slightly.

"About two hundred and fifty."

Chloe smiles. "Yes. Ancient. At least, compared to me. Wizards live to be at the very least 100 years old. I have a friend who is a wizard."

She rolls the dice in her hand.

"He gave me this." She places it carefully on the bartop.

"I can't remember if it has a spell on it."

He tilted his head slightly.

"Hmmm... We have such devices but I have no idea what it might do if anything."

"Well. Without the magic, in a place called Las Vegas, these are used to win money. You roll them on a table and if the number you put chips on matches the number on the dice, then you win the money."

He considered for a moment.

"How... fascinating."

A pause.

"Natael and I used to gamble some in the old days... He was terrible."

"Because he beat you?" She snickers into her drink.

"No... He's rather unfortunate."

"Really? I should introduce him to Fleur. Bill told me she's quite lucky. Then he'll be.. luckier?" Chloe shrugs and smiles.
