She laughs, nodding.

"You do. You...very much do," she says, and kisses his jaw.

He puffs up his chest for a moment before deflating with a laugh and kissing her back.

"Thank you, my dear. You are an ego boost and a half."

She grins.

"Glad to be of service, as your ego needs the boosting."

He pouts.

"Not nearly so much as you seem to think, you know."

"Good."

She leans up and nips lightly on his lower lip.

He smiles and takes her hand in his before pulling it to his lips for a kiss.

"You know...kidding aside, you've always got a place with Alex and I."

She smiles back, blushing faintly.

"I know. Thank you."

Beat.

"Considering I have no furniture yet, I may just take you up on that sometime."

He nods.

"You should. But...what do you mean you have no furniture? Didn't you have a room before moving in with Connor?"

Faith's expression hardens, slightly.

"I did. It was the room that Angelus...that's why I moved when I did. Anyway, I took a suite in the Staff Quarters and they don't come furnished."

He nods.

"Well, if you need any help furnishing, moving furniture in there, or anything else, feel free to ask, you know."

"Oh, I planned to."

Faith grins. "You're old. You know stuff. Decorators and all that. Yeah?"

"That would be Janette's area of expertise. You saw my apartment. It's...sort of on the spare and comfortable side. With, of course, assorted artifacts and knick nacks ~~Caddy whack, what's the color tone? He's a vamp who's driving home!~~ peppered about the place."

"Right. Well, I don't have artifacts - unless you count really old swords and knives, which I have a few of - so. Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and do it myself."

He laughs.

"Oh, no you won't. I'll be there. I'll consider it a challenge."

In his Nick Knack Cadillac, a beauty to behold;
We love them though they're both *real old*.

Faith grins.

"If you say so. Oh. Uhm, one thing...the kitchen space...I'm going to use to store weapons. Because Bernard will call me a heathen, and that's always fun."

He nods.

"I'll make sure to bring some housewarming gifts."

Axes, daggers, swords, that sort of thing.

It's no bunk about the trunk. It's big and wide and holds a hunk.
Its a '62 Cadillac, 35HMV6.
Just the perfect size for Nicks.

"You don't have to, Nick, really. I mean, just having you around is all I need."

He nods.

"I'm sure."

He's so bringing her something special.

Faith sighs, resigned.

"Try not to spend the GNP of more than one small country on me, OK?"

He shakes his head.

"It's not how much you spend, Faith...it's the meaning of the present. I know just the thing."

"I'm sure I'll love it."

She kisses him, lightly, smiling. "Love you."

He nods and smiles, soft and warm.

"Love you too."
