Samantha's inna bar...atta booth!!

No paperwork this time, but a chocolate milkshake and what looks like a fingerprint kit and a remote control. She's cataloguing fingerprints, dog prints, hamster prints and cat prints off of the smooth back of the remote, for Tim.

Come and chat. Just don't knock over the powder.

"It feels like it.

"And you said you'd been better. Maybe it was a bad week?" Sam says, flagging a waitrat down. "You want something?"

"Glass of Whyren's, please," Jaina tells the waitrat.

"And a pizza Hot Pocket for me." Sam grins, taking a quick sip of her milkshake. "Come on, Jaina. Stop avoiding me."

Jaina clicks softly to herself, reaching out to sense Zekk, who was currently in a Jedi meditation. Which meant she can talk to Sam a bit more freely than otherwise.

"We kissed."

Sam's eyebrows shoot up. "Really?"

She doesn't even need to ask who. "I knew it would happen..."

Jaina blinks. "What, why?"

"He's totally enamoured with you." Sam says, accepting her Hot Pocket and plunking Jaina's glass of whiskey in front of her, from the waitrat. "I mean, come on. Someone blind could tell he loves you."

Jaina takes a sip of the whisky. "We know that. We've known since we were teenagers."

There's a faint grin on her face.

Sam wants to say 'what about Jag' but doesn't.

"Well..are you happy?"

This gets a frown. "Don't know."

"Hmmmm." Sam takes a nibble of her food. "Maybe you should figure that out..."

"Don't know how we're supposed to." Jaina shakes her head, staring at Sam. "It's all too confusing. With everything we feel towards Jag and everything Zekk feels towards us. It's too complicated."

"Okay. Maybe you shouldn't talk to me about this. You've hit the same thing Wes did. You love Jag, but you've got feelings for Zekk too...you need to choose. Can't string them along." She sighs.

"Always strung Zekk along," Jaina mutters, angry with herself.

"Just don't let it go boom." Sam mumbles into her food. "Don't do what Wes did and keep quiet."

She laughs dryly. "Not so easy for us. Mind meld, remember?"

"That's true. I'm kind of glad the rest of us aren't mind melded. There are a few things I'd like to keep from Andrew."

"Don't mind it so much. We're getting used to it."

"Still...I don't want Andrew knowing that I know he's going to ask me to marry him. Because it's supposed to be a suprise. But I'm not stupid."

She laughs, giving Sam a genuine smile. "He hasn't asked you, yet?"

Sam shakes her head, blushing slightly. "Hey, Jaina. I was wondering...when he asks, and we start planning...you want to be my uh, Maid of Honour?"

She feels silly asking this for some reason...she doesn't know why.

Jaina chuckles. "Never been a Maid of Honor."

She nods, grinning. "Sure, we'd be honored. Thank you, Sam."

"Great." Sam grins. "But still, no telling. I've no idea when he's going to ask."

"Promise," she replies. "Tell us when he asks?"

"Of course." Sam grins. "I hope you figure things out with Zekk, Jaina."
