Sam meanders down the stairs from room seven.
Well, I feel like I’ve had a very long nap. Wonder what I’ve missed.

She sits down at the bar. “Um. Something cold.”
A sorbet appears in front of her.
Sam blinks. Remind me to be more specific next time.

Nursing a tea, Helen grins at Sam from a few seats down.

Sam notices the grin and grins back weakly.

"Maybe I'll get the hang of this later."

Helen smiles again, warmly. "Don't worry, It took me a while,too." she says, calmly. She slides off her stool, takes her teacup and moves down a few stools towards Sam. "My name's Helen. What is yours?"

"My name's Sam.

How long did it take you to..'get the hang of it?'"

Sam pokes the sorbet cautiously.

Janet is back downstairs today heading toward the bar when she spots Sam sitting there already. Janet hesitates for a moment before sliding into a seat beside her.

"I was wondering when I would see you out and about," she smiles, by way of saying hello.

"Only a couple weeks. Don't worry." She smiles. "All the food is good, so don't worry about that either."

She sips the tea. "So, where are you from? And when?"

Sheppard was heading outside, but a glance towards the bar makes him stop. One particular woman caught his attention-she looked familiar. Frowning to himself, he headed over, giving her abit of a nod in greeting. "Hi."

Sam blinks slightly, but then remembers that Janet is dead, and thus technically from the year 2003.

"I'm from Colorado. 2005.
What about you?"

Sam smiles at her slightly.

"Hi, Janet."

Sam, busy trying to figure out the sorbet, glances up at him with a hasty "Hi."

"How are you feeling?" she asks automatically. Habit and all that.

Helen's eyes widen. "Sparta, Many, many years before you." She sips her tea again. "Where is Colorado?"

"This probably sounds kind of weird, but do I know you from somewhere? You look familiar."

Sam smiles reassuringly.

"The United States.

..do you know where that is?"

"Fine."

Also habit.

Sam looks up at him from her sorbet.

"Um, I doubt it. I haven't been here all that long."

Although it does seem like I've seen him somewhere.

"I have met others from the United States, and even been to North Carolina, thanks to people I have met here. But I had no idea where it was when I came here." She smiles and sips tea. "The States did not exisit in my time, needless to say." She grins.

Janet notices the automatic reply and ignores it...for now.

"Teal'c is here," she says, sure that Sam will be happy to hear it. "He came in a few days ago."

Frowning, he nods. "I must be thinking of somebody else." He offers his hand to shake. "Lt. Colonel John Sheppard. Sorry to bug you."

Sam smiles.

"It's in North America, if that helps you."

Sam grins wide.

"Really?! I'd really like to see him."

Helen shrugs. "Not really. I came from a time when we didn't know that anything beyond our empire existed, I guess."

Sam frowns slightly. Sheppard?

"...So, you work for the military?"

Nodding again, he points to the US flag on his left shoulder. "US Air Force. I'm a pilot."

Sam nods.
"That seems to have been very common.
Things are very different now."
