The Joker makes his appearance, singing as usual.

"Tiptoe ... through the bodies,
In the graveyard, won't you come along and

He stops singing, seeing someone he recognizes.

"Well, well, well ... who do we have here?"

"You leave him alone!" Steph snaps, jumping in front of him to bar his way. ~~Milliphysics, millitime, milliyay!~~ "Just - stay away."

He chuckles, looking her up and down. ""

"...Someone who cares about him," Steph says, after a very ohshit! type of pause. "And I think you're a jerk. So."

He deliberately steps inside her personal space and leers down at her. ""

"So stay away," Steph snaps, refusing to back down, even though her skin's crawling and she's pretty sure her hair's trying to stand on end. He's even creepier up close.

He smirks and leans down so they're nose-to-nose. ""

"Or I'll hit you," Steph says defiantly, her fists already clenched behind her back, still refusing to back away. "And I don't even care if they put me in the cells for it. Someone needs to have beaten you up a long time ago."

"Are you threatening me?" Steph demands, in the coldest voice she can summon. "Here? I've already died. You can't touch me. But I somehow doubt it's the same for you."

He smirks. ""

He waves his hand. ""

Steph really wants to hit him. Just once. Just a little bit. But if she let one punch fly, she wouldn't be able to stop herself, and ... yeah, she's got no particular desire to be gassed, either. She just glares at him.

He goes to walk around her.

She moves to bar his way, and tries not to shake. "You can't talk to him. You already killed him once. Why do you need to go rub it in?"

Okay, hiding under the table didn't work last time. Maybe is he is very, very quiet ...

He forces himself to shrug nonchalantly. Exactly how nonchalant he ends up being is open to debate.

"Oh, well, you know tricks ... can't teach 'em to old dogs and all that good stuff."

He glares. Yeah, with both eyes.

"Wow, that might be a record for your fastest shift into Psycholand. Congratulations."

He claps a hand over (the wrong) eye. ""

He drops the joking aspect and hand immediately.

"... You know, you might have more friends if you didn't constantly threaten to steal their body parts."

Remember that thing Mel told him about not being stupid?

Obviously, he doesn't.

He nods.

"Oh, right. Silly me. How could I pass up an offer like that? Incidentally, have you ever thought about selling used cars?"

He stops, fingering his chin in thought. "" He grins. ""

For example: Why would anyone steal a USED car?
