Aeryn enters the bar wearing the dress from yesterday. mostly due to the fact that the mun had to unexpectedly go and deleted the entry post.

So, there is a very over-dressed Aeryn reading a book on baby care. If you're going to poke fun, she's in quite a good mood. Almost as happy as she looks in fact. Have at.

Gorlim leaps like a cat and perches on the back of the couch she's sitting on. "Good morning!" he chirps at her.

It's quite shocking when something that isn't a cat manages to sit like one, but Aeryn takes it all in her stride.

"It is, isn't it?"

"I thought so. What are you reading?" Agile AND nosey! Don't worry, he has no intention of sitting on her or the book.

He probably wouldn't want to, she knew a great number of throws.

"Can't you tell?"

She held up the book for his inspection.

He peers at it. "Oh!" Then over her shoulder. "Oh, of course! They write books on it?" He slides down onto the cushion beside her. "I haven't seen you in a while. The child is well, then? Congratulations."

"Richard and Amadeo care for him well. I'm hoping to see him soon."

Hence the baby book and concentrative care.

"That's good." He peers at the book. What pictures it may have probably look very strange to him, mostly because they're probably well-lit and clean and do not involve sheep in any way. "They're friends of yours? Why is he not with you, if you'll forgive me for asking?"

Parnasse snickers to himself and makes his way over. He looks her over appreciatively and smirks.

"Now you're starting to look like a proper woman."

Aeryn glances over the top of the book and wrinkles her nose, making a vow to stay calm.

"Oh, it's you"

"There are not many here with my accent. Am I really so forgettable that you had to look at me to remember? I will have to remedy that." *Bland smile*

"I'd rather not have to look at you at all."

Considering he was the one who got punched, she was very angry.

"That is most unusual I must say." He notices the anger. Do you really think it bothers him?

"Why? I'd have thought you'd have annoyed almost everyone here by now."

Her tone is hostile, whether or not it bothers him is not her concern.

"You found a dress."

"It looks good."

"I'm only wearing it to get my money's worth."

She sounded gruff, but there was a smile of pride on her face. She had thought she looked ridiculous and girly.

"You look good also."

She coughed, Buffy always looked good.

Buffy sits down, having to situate the dress so she's not showing off more than she really wants to.

"Thanks. Don't even know why I'm bothering really. Guess I'm being dumb and hoping that a certain someone that I'm supposed to be over sees me."

"I don't even have a small hope that the person I'm thinking of will be around."

Because last time she bit his head off.

"Who are you looking for? If he doesn't see you, he's a fool."

She smiles a little and looks down at the table.

"Oh, if he's around, he'll see me. It's the supposed-to-be-over-him part that makes it dumb and complicated... he's an old boyfriend who doesn't remember dumping me because it hasn't happened yet, for him."

"That's...confusing. Well, I'm sure he will be around."

She wasn't sure what else to say, so she read another chapter of the Baby book.

Gaspode has considered something along the lines "Hey bitch, you look bloody hot"- but he got a hold on himself. He's not afraid of Aeryn any more, but, well, behaves with respect.

So he settles for a simple: "Hallo there. Nice dress."

Aeryn would have probably kicked him had he said that. Mun however, would have fainted.

"Thank you. You could dance with me if you still had your human form."

She wasn't going to find anyone willing to help her pratice at this rate.

"Well, I'm sorry, but I probably wouldn't have. Kind of a trauma, you see. I earned my living doing tricks once and there was this trick when I danced with a ragdoll, turning on my hindlegs and- you don't want to hear about my tragic youth, do you?"

"Not really, but it's fascinating all the same."

She tilted the book.

"Well, I was not so young anyway. But tragic it was. -- Wattcha reading? About man-pups?"

"About babies."

She said. She wasn't being blunt on purpose, she was concentrating on learning how to change a diaper. The book was American.
