Amberite in the bar.

Eating eggs benedict. With roast tomato.

Breakfast IS the first meal of the day, after all. And he didn't bother with that or lunch, so...

But my, doesn't he look cheerful. Come say hello?

He winces, and gently takes one of Gorlim's hands.

"The hurdles life throws at us- never mind. We shall over come. We always do and, lets be reminded, we've both been through worse than this."

"We have, and we've both got through them, since we're sitting here." He clasps Random's hand tightly for just a moment and grins. "I thought we were getting fries?"

"We are. Bar... one dish of fries, please."

He thinks for a moment.

"And a small Poutine. You have to try this- it's delicious."

He looks at it. It doesn't LOOK like much, but frankly, it looks a lot better than a LOT of things he's eaten, and it smells fantastic. He takes one of the fries, inspects it curiously, and devours it.

"Yes it is," he agrees happily, and helps himself to another. "You have good taste, Random."

He folds his arms behind his head.

"Believe it."

A cocky grin.

"I do a lot of travelling. The specialties of a hundred nations."

"And which nation is this?" He definitely approves of it, wherever it is.

"It's called 'Canada' and is on Earth. I didn't spend much time, I'm afraid. A week, on a connecting flight to Beijing."

He shrugs.

"Asia has the most interesting theatre in the world."

"Bards, you mean?" He grins. "I like them. Fought with one for months."

"No. Ever seen a jester? A tumbler?"

He cocks his head.

"Performer, histrian, comedian, tragedian, thespian?"

This is his life we're talking about. Forgive him if he's making things a little overly clear.

"All that is theatre? Of course I know what those are." He wrinkles his nose. "People keep calling me a jester. It puzzles me. I've never actually SEEN one..."

"I spent years as a jester."

He grins.

"It's all about knowing how to take a fall, really. And knowing where your limbs are. You'll never see a truly graceless jester."

"Well, that's why then. I fall all the time. Fall out of trees, fall over my own feet, fall in love... all the time."

He nods, slightly.

"That makes two of us. There's also the banter element- knowing how to keep up a good conversation which amuses the participants and the audience."

He grins.

"Not to mention juggling fire. That's fun."

"I've been on fire! Lots of times!" This is something he can handle!

...and come to think of it, his hair does look suspiciously singed at the edges...

Random eyes him.

"Part of that statement is the jugglin. You're trying not to catch fire."

"It seems to me, if you don't catch it, you're a pretty poor juggler."

If only he had a rimshot sound effect.

He rolls his eyes.

"You catch it. It doesn't catch you."

He picks up his empty glass, a tennis ball he's pulled from his pocket, and a fork off the bar and begins to juggle.

"It's a different thing entirely."

He watches approvingly. "Would you teach me to do that?"

"Sure."

He quickly catches the objects and sets them on the bar.

"Tomorrow, we can start with scarves. Don't try without me, alright? But I'd best be off."

"All right. Thanks for the... uh... whatever you call this stuff, Random." He smiles. "It's nice to have you around again."

He gives him a pleased smile, and a gentle nod before heading towards the stairs.

It's nice to be back.
