Claire is sitting under a tree with Seth today. It's not yet dusk, but the sun isn't nearly so bright out there, and well, it's much cooler than New Orleans.

She's in a pretty good mood too, and thus, so is Seth.

Hurley lets Seth play with his fingers, wishing he had some type of toy to play with,

"So where are you living now? Didn't know that it was possible to live somewhere else, thought it was like against the rules of this place."

"I stay in New Orleans with some friends," she shrugs.

"I'm not Bound so I can go anywhere as long as someone lets me back and forth. I doubt I could go back to my Australia, but anywhere else is okay, I think."

"Ah okay, so if you go through with someone else, you can get to their world, cool," he said as Seth began to snack on his fingers.

"Exactly," she grins. "So do you stay here all the time now?"

"Yeah, didn't know it was possible to go to other places. Thought my choices were here or the island." He paused as Seth continued to take interest in his fingers, "guess he likes cool ranch."

"He likes anything that makes his gums stop hurting," she laughs. "He has one little tooth, but who knows how many are coming in."

"Ah yes that period. I remember when my little cousin went though it, watch out for small objects."

Claire nods. "Any objects really. Except baby food. That we're having a hard time getting in his mouth."

Hurley chuckled, "yes, they always seem to like everything except baby food."

She laughs. "You'd think as much as he likes his bottle he'd love food, but. . . he doesn't."

"Maybe it is a good thing, perhaps this means he will have a skinnier life." he shrugged.

She exhales a laugh. "As long as he's happy and safe, I don't care about that."

"You are right about that, just as long as he is safe. I would guess that he is probably safer in New Orleans," he said. While this place was safer than the island, it wasn't necessarily safe.

"As safe as I can keep him," she sighs softly. "I have several friends who help me look after him, and here. . well, here he has a whole army."

"That is good," he said imagining who some of the friends might be. He had heard rumors that Charlie was close with a vampire, and that a number of them from the bar came from New Orleans.

"Is the version of New Orleans where you are living from 2005, or like the a hundred years ago."

"2005," she nods. "It's later there then it was on the island."

"Okay, with this place you just never know."

"I heard that," she laughs. "So you haven't seen any of the others here lately? Boone and Shannon and Kate are all here pretty regularly."

"Haven't had a chance to run into them," he shrugged. He would be on the lookout for them.

"I saw Kate yesterday. She still goes back to the island some. And Boone does too, but I think Shannon stays here."

She shrugs. "I cannot imagine why anyone would go back there."

"Me neither, I mean if they could be here, why risk things on the island?"

"Exactly," she nods. "Well, Hurley, I need to get Seth in to see his father. I'll talk with you later okay?"

"Okay, see you around," he said as he got up.
