Claire is sitting under a tree with Seth today. It's not yet dusk, but the sun isn't nearly so bright out there, and well, it's much cooler than New Orleans.

She's in a pretty good mood too, and thus, so is Seth.

"Things will work out," she promises. "Don't be so quick to rule them out. I didn't think my ex-boyfriend would think I was anything special. But. . ." she sighs wistfully. "He did."

Sera smiles and puts a hand on Claire's arm. "You are special, Claire. You can see the good in people, when they don't know what it is."

Claire blushes and looks down. "It's not hard to see the good in people, when it's so obvious, Sera."

Sera just grins. "This is probably the first time I've felt completely comfortable here."

"Good," she smiles. "This isn't a bad place to be, really. Not at first, and not if you can find friends."

Sera tickles Seth on the side for a second, then glances up at Claire. "Can I count you as a friend?"

"Of course!" she beams. "I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you all this time if you couldn't."

Seth giggles and lays his head on her shoulder. Somebody's getting sleepy.

Sera grins. "I don't know. You could have just been polite."

Sera holds Seth close to her chest, and rocks back and forth a little.

He quiets down and eventually closes his eyes, settling in.

"I suppose," Claire laughs. "But how boring would that be for me?"

Sera grins again. "Well, great. I haven't had time for friends in forever. Maybe that's why I'm here. To make friends."

"Maybe so," she nods. "Everybody's here for a reason."

She looks at Seth, rubbing a hand over his eyes gently. "I should probably be getting this little one to bed soon. It was wonderful meeting you, though, Sera."

Sera hands Claire her child back, a small smile on her face still. "It was great meeting you Claire. We'll talk again soon I'm sure. And I'll talk to Gavin...and fill you in."

"Yes, definitely," she grins as she stands and gathers her things. "And take care of yourself in the meantime."

She makes Seth wave a sleepy hand and then heads off towards the bar.
