And, with a mug of weak tea and a very thoroughly bookmarked copy of the Bible (also the Book of Om, in more pristine condition), Mightily Oats is at a table in the bar.

"Can I help you, miss?"

She then gestured to the book, "You met him?"

Blink. Blink blink.
"No. I don't believe I have. Er ... why?"
no subject
She added, "Or an angel. Just another person who occasionally has God showing up to chat about something."

"Hello."

"Um, er ... Havelock Vetinari?"
no subject
"Yes. Mightily Oats, isn't it?"
no subject
Pause.
"Yes?"
no subject
"Are you well?" Polite, blank expression.
no subject
"You aren't ... the Havelock Vetinari, are you?"
no subject
"I would not know."
no subject

"Well ... I've been reading." He indicates his Bible. "But, ah, some of the terminology isn't explained, and while I could always, ah, determine it from context, I am given to understand that there are ... living sources who frequent this establishment."
Pause.
"Oh, I'm terribly sorry. The Quite Reverend Mightily Oats at your service."

Faith holds out a hand. "Faith Lehane. Security. Charmed. Anything I might be able to explain? My mother was Christian, once, and some of it stayed with me."
no subject
"Jesus and ... and Lucifer I think I've met, actually. He was, ah, very pleasant." This appears to worry him slightly.
He takes Faith's hand in his own slightly damp one. Quite a grip she has. "Well, Miss Lehane, that would be very helpful. If it, ah, isn't too much trouble."
