OOM: Pre-Milliways
Todd stumbled in, and nearly dropped his books in shock. Since when was his dorm room a bar? This made no sense, they didn't allow liquor at Welton. He turned around, wondering where he was.
A place to truly live deep and suck all the marrow out of life.
Milliways.
He then spied a familiar face, also looking confused.

Milliways.

"It'll be my pleasure to do it, then," he said with a friendly smile.
"Welcome to Milliways, the bar at the end of the universe, where people from all sorts of different worlds and times gather." He gestured to the observation window as well.

Todd still glanced around in disbelief. That might explain some of the strange people or beings he was seeing around here.
He glanced back, "Different worlds?" 1960, the space race was still in progress, and the Apollo missions were still being planned.

"Some people come from places that have magic. Others, who have technology. Some people look different altogether..." he shrugged his shoulders some. "It's odd, but you get used to it."

He did say, "It's uh, amazing."

"Oh, do you want a drink? The first one is on the house." Which was another part of what he was explaining, wasn't it?

He then said, "Oh, I'm ok, thanks."
(ooc: not a problem, bouncing between several slowtimed threads as I can. Have a safe journey.)

"There's a few rules here that you need to follow. They're pretty simple, really. No violence, no sex, and no business in the bar. If you want to engage in those activities, you can either do it outside -- " he gestured to the door leading to the lake, "or get a room." Another gesture up the stairs.

Sheesh, you think innocent and virgin as a boy scout choirboy come to mind here?
The no business one he wasn't completely clear on, but seemed ok.
And a lot easier to deal with than the many rules at institutes like Welton Academy.
"I see, sir. I don't have a problem with any of them."

"Also, if you want anything to eat or drink, just ask the bar, if there's no bartender. If you can't pay right away, she'll start a tab for you."

"If you need anything, don't hesitate to find or ask for me, all right? I'm pretty much in the bar or upstairs in my room most of the time."

He then got up to walk around a bit, and maybe look out the observation window some more.
