Mordred.

*There's an Adam, in search of a cup of coffee. Two, actually. Only one for him. He makes a detour, though, for Mordred.*

A detour?

Mordred raises an eyebrow.

Long time no see.

"Indeed, boyo." He eyes the glitter. "Been having fun?"

Yeah. Yeah, I have. Going new places, meeting new people...

"Oh, like my alternate universe wife?"

In fact, yes. She seems nice, if a little... lost.

He makes a face.

"That'd be her."

So why didn't you marry her in your world?

Drily,

"Her father and mine had a falling out."

And that can ruin a marriage? I mean, they're not the ones getting married.

"...ah, Dark Ages, Adam? She's a princess, and I'm the son of a king. We're not exactly people to marry who we want or not."

Right. Sorry. No coffee yet.

He snorts, as if to say, that's what they all say.

*That may be what they all say, but there's now a cup of coffee in front of Adam, and he takes a sip from it, eyes closed.*

Better.

"Ah-huh. So, glitter?"

Mordred? Not so much with the discussing his lady Wytha with the Antichrist.

*Adam glances down and sighs at the remains of purple glitter.*

Wasn't my fault.

His lips twitch.

Raven did it.

*And if Mordred keeps looking at him like that, he's going to get Raven to glitter Mordred.*

"Ah. I met him. He gets along with my mother, which doesn't surprise me. Both ravens and magpies tend to like shiny things."

Yes, shiny.

*Such as glitter.*

He's a good guy. Trickster. Spirit. Thingy.

"Ah. Okay."

He leans back in his chair, his golden eyes thoughtful.

And you've been...

hiding?

"...yeah. Pretty much."

He holds up a hand, and begins to count points off his elegant fingers.

"A) Wytha is here. Which is...odd, to say the least. We keep arguing like we did before, and then get along, which we didn't. B) My mother. Apparently pregnant. With me. So not going there. C)...I've got something I want to finish for a friend."

*Adam's glossing over A for now, and the last time they talked about B... well, probably best to gloss over that, as well.*
