After some hard training, you'd think Venkman would have gone to bed.

Well, you're right. He did. But it ended up being more of a nap instead.

So, it's late night, and an insomniac Ghostbuster in the bar.

He blinks a little at that.

"Not a god, no. Angel, yes." Remiel tilts his head and wonders what travelling with a posessed yo-yo means for him. Maybe. Vaguely. "Is this... a bad thing?"

He likes it too much to think of discarding it, but he'd never say that.

Peter blinked at that, especially since he hadn't really met any angels really. Gods, yep. Demons, yes. Omnipotent guys who like to screw with you? Hell yes, too often!

"Angel, as in wings, God's your boss man, that deal right?"

He eyed the yo-yo, "That? Uh, it depends. You got a demon trapped in there? It's not a human there, right?" A worried look crossed his face at that idea.

"That's the deal, all right. Remiel, archangel of Hope and Mercy, at your service."

Remiel glances at the yo-yo.

"Oh no, not a mortal. Demon, we think, yes. It's his choice, really; he's the one who stuck himself in there."

He might sound a little amused.

"Dr. Peter Venkman. Nice to meet you." He nodded.

He then eyed the yo-yo with more interest, and sarcastically quipped, "Must have a towering intellect then."

He remarked, "Be nice if we had more ghosts that were like that. Just go into the trap on their own instead. Less mess and fuss that way."

Remiel laughs softly. The yo-yo, however, stops grumbling and then outright mutters to himself.

"Well, I've never really thought about it much, but I suppose he must be rather on the dim side, yes. Of course, if you've chosen to haunt a yo-yo, it's sort of obligatory."

More irate muttering.

Peter nodded, "Not exactly the best choice. I mean, if you're gonna haunt anywhere, make it more interesting. A ladies's locker room, or a beach in Malibu for example. At least the scenary's usually better."

"Or a funhouse," Remiel supplies brightly. "Demons love to haunt funhouses. And then bad mortal authors write a series based on it."

...take that as you will.

"So, what is it that you do, Peter?"

Peter recalled some stories about haunted funhouses, and didn't comment on it.

"My fields are psychology and parapsychology. But what I am... I'm a Ghostbuster." He tried to affect a dramatic pose despite the fact he was sitting dwown.

Remiel grins happily.

"Nice job title. So, you protect others from ghosts?"

Peter nodded, "Yeah, we do. There's a team of us. Originally it was just Egon, Ray and myself that went into business together for it. Then, as we expanded, we hired Winston, so now it's the four of us. Get a lot of business too. There's a lot of nasty spooks, goopers and spectors in the Five Boroughs, much less the Tri-State area."

"Sounds exciting," the angel notes.

"And people take you guys seriously? I mean, don't make fun of you?"

"We've established ourselves as scientists and professionals, but yeah, still get a lot of flak even after our last huge bust. Despite what we done for the city, we still get the occasional crap about how we're frauds. Which is a bigger pile of BS then you get in a typical political campaign."

Peter smirked a little as he added, "Of course they don't think that after a ghost shows up and is playing football with their grandma's prized china. And oh no, now they have to call the so-called frauds to clean house for them." Pay quite a bit afterwards too, just to keep it quiet, since oh, what might the neighbors say?

"That sort of thing seems to happen a lot," Remiel chuckles. "Then again, every idea does have its doubters, by the nature of things."

Peter nodded, "It has gotten easier, but yeah, most people probably only believe it in the years to come, right when we're likely retired."
