Lore has a tall glass of hot chocolate on the table in front of him, which he inspects rather more than he drinks. He has decided to hold off on mischief for as long as it takes his brother to forget the little incident with Tahiri.

This leaves Lore very, very bored.

If anyone were to bother him, chances are he would be grateful. Not that he would admit it.

A flash of light, and Q is there. "I tried warning her. You were there. I certainly tried ..."

Lore looks up from his hot chocolate, none too surprised to see Q there.

"That you did," he says with a weary shake of the head. "Humans never can seem to grasp onto subtlety."

"So tell me what posessed you to try that in the first place?"

Lore sticks a finger in his coacoa, looking for all the world like a distraught poet.

"Oh, hard to say, really. She made the mistake of confusing me for my brother, and I hadn't the heart to correct it. I'll admit my motives might not have been pure." He flashes Q a half smile. "Life is simply too dull without toying with these humans' emotions once and a while."

He chuckles. "You won't get argument from me on that one."

"What do you do about it?" Lore pushes his hot chocolate aside and gives Q his full attention.

"Things are so dull here. And I can't just leave because I've been deactivated. I'm stuck in this universal prison surrounded by humans." He speaks the last word as if he were smelling something unpleasant.

"I test them. I watch them, and I poke at them." He shrugs. "Same as I do when I'm back home, really."

Lore sighs. "Yes, well, I suppose entertaining oneself is simpler when one is omnipotent." He frowns and goes back to staring at the glass on the bar. "My brother is always pleased as long as he is serving as some human's personal computer, but I have rather higher aspirations."

"Actually, he aspires to be one of them some day."

Lore smiles bitterly at this. "I'm aware. Ridiculous, isn't it? He has the perfect body physically, is mentally so much more sophisticated, and yet all he wants to do is revert to their level."

"I don't know about ridiculous. He aspires, and that is the important thing."

Lore lifts an eyebrow and regards Q curiously. "You seem particularly fond of Data. May I ask why?"

Jaina recognizes Lore from that brief run in a week ago. Unfortunately for her, and possibly very fortunately for Lore, she doesn't have any idea who he is. Although Tahiri did briefly mention her encounter with Data and Lore.

Curious to find out who he is, Jaina and Zekk walk over.

"Hello," Zekk greets, looking at Jaina hesitantly for a moment. He stands close to her, almost hold her hand in his.

"You're Tahiri's friend, eh?" Jaina adds in, studying Lore.

Lore wonders if saying 'yes' will get him into trouble.

Then again, trouble might be welcome compared to this boredom.

"You might say that," he decides on finally.

Jaina and Zekk nod. "We remember you."

"From the other night," Zekk adds in, even though he wasn't there.

"Right," Lore says, thoroughly confounded by this pair. "Well, you might say Tahiri and I are no longer on the best of terms, but it's, ah, a pleasure to make your acquaintances."

Jaina offers her hand, looking a little confused at his response. Tahiri hadn't mentioned any fights with friends. "Jaina Solo."

"Zekk."

Lore shakes Zekk's hand as well. "And what reality, galaxy, planet, city, et cetera do you two originate from?" He smiles pleasantly.

"We're from a planet called Coruscant originally," Jaina replies, taking a seat at the table.

"Where are you from?" Zekk sits as well, regarding Lore suspiciously. "And your name, while your at it."

"Coruscant." Lore repeats it, then turns his attention to Zekk. "I was created on Omicron Theta." He pauses, wondering how much these two know about his encounter with Tahiri.

For the sake of amusement, Lore decides to try the truth for a change.

"My name is Lore."
